Successware says your jobs came from "Google." Google Ads never learns which ones paid.
In Successware, a CSR picks the Lead Source from a dropdown on every call, and every BookIt booking lands under a lead source called "Bookit." Neither says which campaign paid for the job, and none of Successware's documented integrations reports the result back to Google or Meta. We connect the click to the job and the posted invoice, so your ads learn from the furnace replacements and sewer jobs that got paid.

Successware · what breaks
What goes wrong when Successware runs your office
- 01
Every paid lead gets logged as "Google" or "Internet"
Your CSR asks where the caller heard about you and picks one lead source. An ad click, your map listing and an organic visit all become the same answer, so the Campaign report can't show what your ad spend bought.
- 02
BookIt bookings come in with no ad attached
Successware tags every online booking with its own "Bookit" lead source and tells you not to edit it. The booking reaches your dispatch board, but Google Ads and Meta never hear that a homeowner booked a time slot.
- 03
Google bids on phone calls, not booked work
Google Ads records an ad call as a conversion once it passes a minimum length you set, whether it's a system quote or someone asking your hours. Successware knows which calls became invoices, but that never reaches the bidding, so it keeps chasing cheap calls.
- 04
Agreement members inflate your ad results
When an agreement customer searches your company name, clicks your ad and calls to book a tune-up, Google counts a new conversion. Pile up enough of those and your branded campaigns look far better than they are.
Successware · the fix
What changes after the fix — Successware
Each Successware job tied to its ad click
Tracked numbers carry the click ID into the job your CSR creates in Call Handling, and BookIt jobs are matched to the ad visit that sent the homeowner to the booking link.
Google and Meta learn from invoices, not rings
Posted invoice totals and sold amounts from the Sales Summary go back as conversion value, so bidding favors the campaigns that bring installs and repairs that close.
Campaign Manager and your ad accounts finally agree
Paid search, Local Services, map calls and repeat customers get separate lead sources, so the Campaign report and Google Ads tell the same story.
Successware · architecture
What Successware actually lets you hook into
Taken from Successware's own help center for both Successware Platform and Successware21 Classic. Where the docs are silent, we list it as something to confirm.
- 1
Lead Source and Lead Source Type on every job
Required in Call Handling. A job carries one Job Lead Source, and a new customer also gets a permanent Location Lead Source.
- 2
Campaign Manager
Groups lead sources by date range and can hold a campaign phone number. On Platform, Successware Connection can fill the lead source from the incoming number.
- 3
BookIt widget
A premium add-on delivered as a link (Platform) or script (Classic). Its Google Analytics field covers visits to the page that hosts it, not completed bookings.
- 4
SWAPI
The API Successware's add-ons connect through. We confirm with Successware what access your account has before building on it.
- 5
Report exports
Campaign, Sales Analysis and Phone Call reports export to Excel or CSV, a fallback for scheduled offline uploads.
- 6
No documented ad-platform connection
The help center lists no Google Ads, GA4 conversion, Meta Pixel or Conversions API, or Zapier connection, so that link has to be built.
Successware · diagnose
Where Successware tracking breaks, in diagnostic order
We start in Successware, not Google Ads, because most attribution errors here begin at the CSR's lead source dropdown.
- 01
Count jobs by Job Lead Source
If "Google," "Internet" or "Existing customer" covers most new jobs, paid search can't be measured yet.
- 02
Check which number your ads ring
If ad calls hit your main line, no click ID is captured and the CSR's guess is all you have.
- 03
Run a BookIt booking from an ad-tagged URL
See what fires when the booking completes and which lead source the job gets.
- 04
Audit the Google Ads conversion actions
Look for call conversions counted on short calls, and for GA4 imports duplicating them.
- 05
Compare invoiced jobs with claimed conversions
Take a finished month, strip out agreement visits, and check each remaining invoiced job against the conversions Google and Meta claimed.

Source of truth
Successware jobs and posted invoices: Job Lead Source, job class, date created, Sales Summary sold amount and invoice total
- One tracked ad call, with the click ID matched to the job created in Call Handling.
- A test booking placed through BookIt from an ad-tagged link, then found on the dispatch board and checked in each ad platform.
- Each Successware job shows up once in Google Ads and once in Meta, deduplicated on a shared event ID.
- Ad-platform values matched to posted Successware invoices.
- Agreement visits and warranty callbacks confirmed absent from acquisition conversions.
- The full job list for a finished month reconciled against both platforms, and the same reconciliation repeated a month after launch.

Successware · when not to buy
When you don't need this on Successware
Some Successware shops are better served by tightening what they already have.
- If your marketing is mostly direct mail, radio and truck wraps, each with its own phone number, Campaign Manager already measures it well.
- If you don't run Google or Meta ads, CSR training on lead sources is the whole fix, and you can do it yourself.
- If agreement renewals and member tune-ups keep your schedule full, Agreement Manager reporting will guide spend better than ad attribution.
- If you only want to know which lead sources sell, the Sales Analysis report filtered by Job Lead Source answers that today.

FAQ
Successware questions, answered
Not that its help center documents: its integrations list covers payments, payroll, reviews, CompanyCam, price books and Schedule Engine, with no Google Ads, GA4 conversion, Meta Pixel or Conversions API connection. Results reach the ad platforms through click-capturing call tracking plus a server-side or offline upload of Successware jobs and invoices.
BookIt has a Google Analytics Property ID field, but Successware describes it as tracking visits to the page hosting the widget. That isn't a booking, so we test a real one to see what fires on completion.
Successware creates a "Bookit" lead source under an "Internet" type when BookIt is turned on, and says not to edit or delete either. The job shows it came in online, not which ad sent the homeowner.
It counts jobs created during a campaign's dates that carry its lead sources. It can't tell Google or Meta which click produced a job, so their bidding never learns from it.
Yes. Both versions use lead sources, Campaign Management and BookIt. With Classic on your own server, we also check how reports can be exported on a schedule.
A new-customer job booked from an ad, valued at the posted invoice or sold estimate. Agreement tune-ups and warranty callbacks shouldn't count, or your ads optimize for customers you already have.
