Markate is full of booked jobs. Your ads can't see which clicks booked them.
Your Markate pipeline fills with leads and work orders, but Google Ads and Meta can't tell which ad sent any of them. A quote form or booking lands in Markate, the job is scheduled and invoiced there, and the ad platforms never hear about it, so they keep spending on whatever clicks look busiest. We carry each lead's ad click into Markate and send the scheduled and completed work orders back, so your carpet cleaning, window washing or handyman campaigns bid on real jobs.

Markate · what breaks
What goes wrong with Markate and your ads
- 01
"Google Ads shows conversions I can't find in Markate"
The ad platform counts quote-button clicks or page loads on your site, while the real jobs live in Markate. You keep paying for clicks that look like wins and can't say which ones turned into a scheduled work order.
- 02
Customer Source is blank or just says "Website"
Markate has a Customer Source on each customer, but a quote form on its own can't tell a Google Ads click from an organic visitor. So the source report can't tell you which campaign deserves next month's budget.
- 03
Bookings vanish inside the booking form
Markate's online booking is a link or an embed you add to your site, Facebook or Google profile. If it loads apart from your page, the booking never reaches your tags, so Smart Bidding chases visitors who left.
- 04
Repeat cleanings counted as new customers
Recurring work orders for window, gutter or duct cleaning look like fresh sales unless they're separated, which inflates return on ad spend and hides what new customers really cost.
Markate · the fix
What changes after we fix it — Markate
Each Markate lead carries its ad click
The GCLID, Meta click ID and UTMs travel with the lead into Markate, in a field we confirm on your account, so you can finally answer which campaign sent each job.
Ads learn from booked and paid work
Scheduled and completed work orders go back to Google Ads and Meta as conversions with the invoice value, so bidding favors searches that turn into jobs.
New customers kept apart from repeats
First jobs count as acquisition; recurring visits and returning customers stay out of it, so cost per new customer is a real number.
Markate · architecture
What Markate actually lets you hook into
These come from Markate's own pricing, integrations and help pages. Anything the docs don't spell out is listed as something we confirm on your account.
- 1
Google Tag field on Markate-built websites
Markate's website editor has a Settings > Google Tools field labeled Google Tag or Google Tag Manager. Its help article shows a GA4 Measurement ID and checks page views in Realtime; we confirm whether a GTM container works there, and form and booking events still need building.
- 2
Online booking link and embed
Markate documents sharing the booking link or embedding it on your site. We confirm how it loads on your pages and whether URL parameters survive into the booking.
- 3
Zapier triggers
Markate's Zapier app fires on New Lead, New Customer, New Customer Source, New Estimate, New Invoice, Work Order Scheduled and Work Order Completed, and can create leads and customer sources. We confirm the click ID rides along in the payload before relying on it for offline conversions.
- 4
Connect API and developer access
Listed as a paid add-on. We check which lead and job fields it exposes before choosing it over Zapier.
- 5
No native ad-platform connection
Markate's integrations page lists no Google Ads, Meta Pixel or Conversions API connection, so conversions have to be sent from outside it.
Markate · diagnose
Where Markate tracking breaks, in the order we check
Start where the lead is created, because a click ID that never reaches Markate can't be recovered later.
- 01
Submit a quote form from an ad-tagged URL
Then open the Markate lead and look for the click ID or campaign.
- 02
Place a test online booking the same way
See whether your site's tags fire and whether the booking arrives with any source.
- 03
Read the Customer Source values
If most say "Website" or are blank, attribution is lost at entry.
- 04
Check what your Google Ads conversion actually counts
If it fires on a quote-button click or a page view, it's counting interest, not Markate jobs.
- 05
Separate recurring work orders
Repeat cleanings should never reach the acquisition conversion.

Source of truth
Markate leads, work orders and invoices: scheduled and completed jobs by date, with Customer Source and invoice amount
- One quote form and one booking from ad-tagged URLs, with the click ID visible on each Markate record.
- A scheduled work order arriving in Google Ads as an offline conversion against the right click.
- The same job reaching Meta once, with a shared event ID across browser and server.
- A completed work order carrying its invoice value.
- A recurring visit confirmed absent from the acquisition conversion.
- Markate work orders matched to each ad platform across a closed window.
- The full check repeated 30 days later.

Markate · when not to buy
When you don't need this on Markate
Plenty of Markate shops are fine without us, and we'll say so on the call.
- If your work comes from repeat customers, referrals and yard signs, and you don't run paid ads, Markate's own lead reports are enough.
- If you run one small Google campaign and nearly every customer calls instead of using a Markate quote form or booking link, a correct call conversion in Google Ads may be all you need.
- If most of your jobs come through Google Local Services Ads, those leads are tracked inside Google, and Markate attribution adds little.
- If the only issue is a Google Ads goal counting page views, switching the primary conversion is a ten-minute fix you can make yourself.
Markate · what we deliver
The event map on Markate
Quote form or contact form submitted
Fired on your site with the click ID handed into the Markate lead, not on a thank-you page anyone can reload.
Online booking placed
Its own event, with the service attached, confirmed on a live booking from an ad-tagged URL.
Lead qualified
Taken from the Markate lead or estimate stage, so spam and out-of-area requests never reach bidding.
Work order scheduled
The main conversion for most cleaning and handyman trades, sent from Markate's own scheduled event.
Work order completed and invoiced
Sent with the invoice amount from Markate's New Invoice event, so Google Ads and Meta see job value, not just volume. Whether paid status is exposed is checked on your account.
Excluded on purpose
Recurring work orders, returning customers, Kate-AI calls from existing clients and test bookings stay out of acquisition.
Written guarantee
95%+ tracking accuracy
Measured against Markate leads, work orders and invoices: scheduled and completed jobs by date, with Customer Source and invoice amount. Miss it and we keep working at no cost.

FAQ
Markate questions, answered
Not directly. Markate's integrations page lists no Google Ads, Meta Pixel or Conversions API connection, so scheduled and completed jobs have to be sent through Zapier, its API or a server container.
Yes, on Markate-built sites. Settings > Google Tools has a Google Tag or Google Tag Manager field, and Markate's guide verifies page views in GA4 Realtime. Quote forms and bookings still need their own events.
Because the quote form doesn't know which ad sent the visitor. Once your site captures the click ID and UTMs and passes them into the lead, Customer Source and your reports can show the campaign.
Yes, if the lead keeps its GCLID. Markate's Zapier app fires when a work order is scheduled or completed, and that job can then be imported into Google Ads as an offline conversion against the original click.
They will if every work order is sent. We send first jobs as acquisition and keep recurring visits and returning customers out.
Markate's pricing page lists both as $10-a-month add-ons, and Connect API access at $50 a month. We tell you which, if any, you actually need.
