Privacy policy

Who we are
Tracking Consulting is a conversion-tracking and paid-media consultancy operated by Ariful Islam. You can reach us at arif@trackingconsulting.com for any question about this policy, or to ask what data we hold about you.
We are the controller of the personal data described below.
What we collect, and when
When you browse. Our analytics (Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager) records pages viewed, approximate location from IP, device and browser, and how you arrived. Where consent is required, these tags run under Consent Mode and are restricted until you allow them.
When you book a call. Booking runs on Calendly. You give Calendly your name, email and chosen time; we receive those details to hold the meeting. Calendly's own privacy policy governs their processing.
When you use the free audit tool. You give us a website address. We fetch that public page and analyse its tags. We do not need your name or email to run it.
When you become a client. We hold the contact and billing details needed to invoice and deliver the work. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers. Transactional email is sent through Resend.
Preferences. One browser key, `site-locale`, remembers your language. It carries nothing that identifies you.
Why we are allowed to hold it
Contract — to deliver work you have engaged us for, and to invoice it. Legitimate interests — to run and secure the site, and to understand which pages are useful. Consent — for analytics and advertising cookies where the law requires it, which you can withdraw at any time. Legal obligation — to keep financial records for the period the law requires.
Advertising and measurement
We advertise on Google and Meta and use their tags to measure which ads lead to enquiries. This is the same first-party, server-side measurement we build for clients: the point of it is accuracy, not surveillance. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.
You can opt out of Google's personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com, and of analytics measurement with Google's browser opt-out add-on.
Who else touches it
Google (Tag Manager, Analytics, Ads), Calendly (scheduling), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), and our hosting provider. Each processes data on our instructions to run a specific part of the service. We do not sell your data to anyone.
How long we keep it
Analytics data follows the retention set in GA4. Enquiry and client records are kept while the relationship is live and for as long afterwards as tax and contract law requires. Booking records are kept in Calendly under its own retention. Ask us and we will tell you exactly what we hold about you.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, ask for it in a portable form, and — under the CCPA/CPRA — know what is collected and opt out of sale or sharing. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising these rights.
Email arif@trackingconsulting.com and we will answer within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK and are unhappy with our answer, you may complain to your national data protection authority.
Children
This is a service for businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page. The current version always lives at this URL.
