Your homeowner picked a lender on Acorn Finance. Google Ads never found out.
Your Acorn Finance link sends homeowners to Acorn's site to prequalify and compare lender offers, then on to the lender they pick. That's two domains away from your website, so the roof, pool or remodel they financed never reaches Google Ads or Meta. We match the jobs your Contractor Portal shows as funded back to the ad click that started them and send each platform the paid job value.

Acorn Finance · what breaks
What goes wrong with Acorn Finance
- 01
"We can't tell which ads brought in our financed jobs"
The homeowner clicks your ad, taps your Acorn link and finishes on a lender's site. Google Ads loses them the moment they leave your site, so the financed pool or roof counts for nothing and bidding keeps funding campaigns that send window-shoppers.
- 02
"Prequalified isn't sold, but we reported it like it was"
Acorn's prequalification is a soft credit check that can take under a minute and doesn't touch the homeowner's score, so checking a monthly payment and walking away costs them nothing. Count it as your conversion and Smart Bidding learns to find browsers, not signers.
- 03
"The same link is on our flyers, estimates, Facebook posts and website"
Acorn gives you one custom apply link plus ready-made banners and social posts. With that link everywhere, you can't separate the paid click from the yard sign or the emailed estimate.
- 04
"There's no Acorn payment to attach revenue to"
Acorn doesn't make loans. The lender funds the homeowner, who then pays you, so the job value your ads should learn from lives in your invoicing tool, not anything Acorn sends.
Acorn Finance · the fix
What changes — Acorn Finance
Every financed job credited to its campaign
Funded applications from your Contractor Portal are matched to the lead that kept the Google click ID or Meta click data, then reported as conversions.
Bidding trained on signed work, not payment shoppers
Prequalification stays a secondary signal. The primary conversion is a funded, paid job carrying its real invoice value.
Each place your link lives reported on its own
Website banner, estimate, text and social traffic stay separate, so you can see which ones actually end in funded jobs.
Acorn Finance · architecture
What Acorn Finance actually lets you hook into
Acorn documents how to get homeowners applying, not how to measure where they came from. Here's what's documented and what we verify.
- 1
Custom apply link
One per contractor, shared by text, email, estimate, website or QR code. Acorn doesn't document whether extra URL parameters survive, so we test it.
- 2
Portal banners you paste onto your site
Pre-designed banners whose code you copy from your Acorn portal. We check whether that code is a plain link or a frame, because that decides whether your own tags can see the click at all.
- 3
Contractor Portal and mobile app statuses
Every customer's application status in one place, with alerts when a homeowner selects an offer and when the loan is funded. We confirm which statuses your portal shows, then bring them back into your records.
- 4
Financing inside estimates
Platforms such as FieldPulse put an Acorn offer and QR code on estimates and invoices, a path that never touches your website.
- 5
No documented analytics, Pixel, API or Zapier connection
We found no Google Analytics, GTM, Meta Pixel, webhook or Zapier option in Acorn's docs, so funded jobs reach the ad platforms from your side.
Acorn Finance · diagnose
Where Acorn Finance tracking breaks, in the order we check
Start with your own site, because once a homeowner is on Acorn's domain nothing of yours records them.
- 01
Click the banner from an ad-tagged URL
Confirm the click event fires and the lead keeps its click ID before the handoff.
- 02
Check what counts as your conversion
If the apply-link click or a prequalification is a primary goal, bidding is chasing payment shoppers.
- 03
Trace estimate and QR applications
Applications from an emailed estimate or a flyer QR code get matched to the original lead by homeowner name and project.
- 04
Compare funded applications with reported conversions
Homeowner by homeowner, over a closed month.
- 05
Confirm the value sent
It should be the paid invoice, not the loan amount offered or the original estimate.
Acorn Finance · prove
The QA evidence — Acorn Finance
Run on a real application started from an ad click on your live site, not on a link pasted straight into a browser.
Source of truth
Acorn Finance Contractor Portal application statuses (funded) joined to your paid invoices for the same homeowners
- One application started from an ad-tagged URL, click ID confirmed on the lead record.
- The banner click recorded once, on your site, before Acorn loads.
- Prequalification and offer selection set as secondary conversions.
- Each funded, paid job sent once to Google Ads and once to Meta, with a shared event ID.
- A declined or abandoned Acorn application confirmed absent from revenue.
- Funded jobs reconciled homeowner by homeowner across a closed month, then again 30 days later.

Acorn Finance · when not to buy
When you don't need this for Acorn Finance
Plenty of contractors on Acorn need less than this, and we'll say so.
- If financing only comes up at an in-person estimate and the lead already came through a tracked form or call, track the lead and the paid job; the Acorn step adds nothing.
- If you don't run paid ads and Acorn mainly helps close referrals, attribution won't change a decision.
- If only a handful of homeowners finance through Acorn each quarter, a monthly manual upload of those funded jobs may be enough.
- If your Acorn banner just isn't recording a click, and it's a plain link, that's a one-tag fix and we'll show you where it goes.

FAQ
Acorn Finance questions, answered
Not by itself. The homeowner applies on Acorn's site and finishes on a lender's site, where your tags don't run, so the conversion has to be matched back from the funded status in your Contractor Portal.
As a secondary signal, yes; as the bidding goal, no. Acorn says prequalification is a soft credit check with no impact on the homeowner's score, so running it just to see a monthly payment costs them nothing.
We didn't find a Pixel, Google Analytics, webhook or Zapier option in Acorn's documentation. Funded jobs go to Meta and Google from your own records through a server-side connection.
The paid invoice for the job. Acorn's lending partner funds the homeowner and the homeowner pays you, so your invoicing record holds the real number.
You can, but on its own you won't know which one drove the application. We record the click on your site and match flyer and estimate applications by homeowner.
Contractors advertising big-ticket financed work: roofers, pool builders, remodelers, hardscaping and outdoor kitchen builders, ADU builders and water damage restoration companies. Acorn also lists HVAC, solar, windows and siding among its trades.
