Customers lease with Snap Finance. Your ads can't tell which campaign sold the tires.
Snap's checkout runs its lease-to-own application in a popup hosted by Snap, then sends the shopper back once the lease is approved and signed. A thank-you page tag counts that as a sale, though the order isn't final until you complete it and Snap is told. We save the ad click before Snap opens and report only completed Snap orders, so Google Ads and Meta learn from leases that went through.

Snap Finance · what breaks
What goes wrong when Snap Finance closes the sale
- 01
"Meta counts Snap orders we ended up canceling"
Once a shopper signs, Snap's plugin moves the order to processing and loads your thank-you page. Cancel it later because the tires or mattress aren't in stock, and Snap hears about it. Google Ads and Meta don't, so they keep a sale you never made.
- 02
"We can't see which ads bring people Snap approves"
A Snap denial marks the WooCommerce order failed and drops the shopper back in their cart, so GA4 sees one more abandoned checkout. You can't tell which campaigns bring shoppers Snap approves and which bring ones it turns down, so budget drifts toward the cheapest click instead of the buyers who can actually finance a set of tires or a sofa.
- 03
"Snap shows up like any other card sale"
Snap is a payment option inside your checkout, so unless the payment method is passed, the purchase looks like a card sale. You can't see which ads sell your financed tickets.
- 04
"Most of our Snap leases happen at the counter"
When a customer applies for Snap at your tire shop, transmission shop or furniture store, the lease carries no ad click. The ad that brought them in gets zero credit.
Snap Finance · the fix
What changes once Snap orders report correctly
Snap leases credited to the right campaign
The click ID on your order travels with the Snap application ID, so each completed Snap order matches the click that started it.
Bidding trained on finished orders
Only completed Snap orders report as purchases, at the order value. Approvals stay secondary and cancellations are taken back.
Counter leases tied back to ad leads
Where a customer called or filled in a form before walking in, their in-store Snap order is uploaded and matched by phone or email.
Snap Finance · architecture
What Snap Finance actually lets you hook into
Snap documents its e-commerce checkout through its WooCommerce plugin and the Snap SDK the plugin loads. Neither documents a connection to Google Ads, GA4 or Meta.
- 1
Snap checkout button and callbacks
The SDK's checkout button runs your code on click, and reports back when an application is approved, denied, canceled or errors, with an application ID where one exists.
- 2
A popup hosted by Snap
The application happens in Snap's own web experience, where your GA4 and Pixel tags don't run.
- 3
Complete and cancel calls
Completing the order in WooCommerce tells Snap the order is final, and canceling sends a cancel for that application ID. This is the server-side moment we report from.
- 4
Snap's merchant portal
The plugin's own FAQ sends merchants to the Snap merchant portal to check each application's status. That record, not the ad platforms, is what we reconcile completed Snap orders against.
- 5
In-store and other platforms: checked, not assumed
Snap's in-store flow and non-WooCommerce plugins aren't in its public docs, so we review what your Snap merchant account records about each lease before relying on it.
Snap Finance · diagnose
Where Snap Finance tracking breaks, in diagnostic order
Start with what counts as a sale, because Snap setups over-report signed leases more often than they miss them.
- 01
Find what fires the purchase event
If it's the thank-you page after approval, orders you later cancel are counted.
- 02
Check whether the click ID reaches the Snap order
Run a sandbox checkout from an ad-tagged URL and open the order that carries the application ID.
- 03
Compare completed orders with reported conversions
Per order, with processing and cancelled orders set aside.
- 04
Check that Snap is visible as a payment method
Without it, financed sales blend into card sales.
- 05
Measure the counter share
Count how many Snap leases start in the store, and whether those customers called or filled in a form first.
Snap Finance · prove
The QA evidence on Snap orders
Run in Snap's sandbox for the plumbing and on a real completed Snap order for the proof.

Snap Finance · when not to buy
When you don't need this for Snap Finance
Some Snap merchants should spend nothing here.
- If Snap is a few orders a month and nearly everyone pays by card, fix card purchase tracking first.
- If every Snap lease starts at your counter and customers walk in without calling or filling in a form, there's no ad click to match, and we'll tell you so.
- If you don't run Google or Meta ads, your Snap order list is enough.
- If your conversions already match completed Snap orders within a few percent, leave it alone.

Recorded for diagnosis so you can see approval rates by campaign. Never sent as a conversion.
Order completed
The primary purchase, sent server-side to Google Ads and Meta when you complete the order, the step that finalizes it with Snap. Carries the order value, Snap as payment method and a shared event ID.
In-store Snap order
Uploaded from your records and matched to an earlier tracked call or form by the customer's phone or email, never by guesswork.
Cancellation or return

FAQ
Snap Finance questions, answered
Not that Snap's WooCommerce plugin documents. Snap sales reach your ad accounts only if your site sends them, using the application ID and order status the plugin records.
No. An approved and signed lease leaves the order in processing until you complete it, and you can still cancel it. Count the completed order and keep approvals as a secondary signal.
The application runs in a popup hosted by Snap, where your tags don't load. Saving the click ID on the order before the popup opens fixes the attribution.
Partly. If the customer called a tracked number or filled in a form first, their Snap order can be uploaded and matched by phone or email. Tire and auto repair shops that book by phone usually have that trail.
Your order total. Snap services the customer's lease, so the payments they make to Snap over time aren't your revenue and shouldn't be the conversion value.
