HearthPayments and financing

Hearth says the loan funded. Your ads still think it was a bounce.

Your Hearth banner sends homeowners off your site to Hearth's pre-qualification form, and the funded loan shows up later in Hearth's Financing tab, where Google Ads and Meta never look. The bathroom remodel or foundation repair a homeowner financed gets no credit, so bidding keeps chasing cheap clicks. We tie each Funded and Won client in Hearth back to the ad click that started it.

Hearth · what breaks

Where Hearth hides the jobs your ads paid for

  1. 01

"Hearth shows funded loans. Google Ads shows nothing."

The banner from Hearth's Marketing Tools redirects to your application on Hearth, not your domain. GA4 and the Meta Pixel on your site stop at that click, and Funded only ever appears inside Hearth, so the campaign that paid for the visit gets no credit.

  2. 02

"Leads come in through Hearth's form and we can't tell which ad sent them"

Hearth's Lead Website Form loads in an iframe from widget.gethearth.com, out of reach of your site's tags. Hearth says it accepts UTMs, but a UTM only says "google". Without the click ID on the client record, Google Ads can't tie the job to a keyword.

  3. 03

"We counted prequalified homeowners as sales"

A Hearth prequal is a soft-pull preview. The homeowner still has to pick an offer, and the lender can ask for more information and run a hard credit check before anything funds. Count the prequal as a conversion and Smart Bidding learns to buy curious browsers while your return on ad spend looks better than your bank account.

  4. 04

"The same financing link is on our flyers, Facebook and every estimate"

Hearth puts one link on QR flyers, Facebook posts, email signatures and quotes. A homeowner who scanned a flyer looks identical to one from paid search, so ads get credit for jobs they didn't produce.

Hearth · the fix

What changes once funded Hearth jobs reach your ad accounts

  • Financed jobs credited to the ad that found them

Funded and Won clients are matched to the gclid or fbclid saved on the first lead and uploaded to Google Ads and Meta with hashed email and phone.

  • Bidding trained on jobs, not pre-quals

Prequalified stays a secondary signal. The primary conversion is a signed contract, an approved quote or a funded loan that turns into a paid Hearth invoice.

  • Ad leads separated from flyers and referrals

Prequals from QR flyers, Facebook posts or estimate links stay out of ad reporting, so each campaign is judged on homeowners it actually sent.

Hearth · architecture

What Hearth actually lets you hook into

Hearth runs your quotes, contracts, invoices and financing in one place, but its help center describes no Google or Meta connection. This is what it does document.

  1. 1

    Financing link and web banners

Financing Web Tools gives you a direct link plus banner HTML. Hearth says most banners redirect to your application and one is a payment calculator.

  2. 2

    Lead Website Form widget

A script that loads an iframe from widget.gethearth.com, with documented UTM support. We test whether a click ID survives onto the client.

  3. 3

    Financing statuses

Sent, Started, Prequalified, Not Qualified and Funded, on Pro and Elite plans. Hearth says Essentials has no tracking or notifications.

  4. 4

    Client statuses and alerts

Clients turn Won automatically when a loan funds, a quote is approved, a contract is signed or an invoice is paid. Take Action alerts flag homeowners who receive funds or prequalify.

  5. 5

    QuickBooks Online and client export

Paid Hearth invoices sync to QuickBooks Online. The client CSV export holds contact details only, not activity.

  6. 6

No open API, no ad connection

Hearth says plainly it has no open API. Its help center lists no Google Ads, GA4, GTM, Meta Pixel or Zapier link either, so a funded job gets to your ads only through an upload we set up.

Hearth · diagnose

How we find the break on a Hearth account

First, what your Hearth plan can tell you, because a funded loan can't be reported if the status never reaches you.

  1. 01

Confirm your plan shows financing statuses

On Essentials there is no status tracking, so paid invoices become the signal instead.

  2. 02

Submit a lead with a gclid in the URL

Through Hearth's widget form or your own, then check the Hearth client for the click ID and UTMs.

  3. 03

Click a financing banner on your site

One outbound event should fire per click, ahead of the redirect to Hearth's application.

  4. 04

    Find what's being counted

A banner click, thank-you page or Prequalified as the conversion all overstate what funds.

  5. 05

List every place the financing link lives

Flyer QR codes, Facebook posts, email signatures, Jobber quote templates and Housecall Pro invoice templates all feed the same application.

  6. 06

Set Funded and Won clients beside platform conversions

One client at a time, across the last full month.

The QA evidence — Hearth

Done with a live lead, opened from a gclid-tagged link and carried through to a real Hearth financing offer rather than a dashboard preview.

Source of truth

Hearth's Financing tab filtered to Funded and its Clients list filtered to Won, matched to paid Hearth invoices in QuickBooks Online

  • A test lead whose gclid and fbclid are captured and tied to the matching Hearth client by email and phone.
  • A banner click from your site logged once, ahead of the redirect to Hearth.
  • A Funded or Won client that lands once in Google Ads and once in Meta, carrying the paid invoice amount.
  • A Not Pre-Qualified homeowner, a Lost client and a flyer prequal confirmed outside ad reporting.
  • Each Funded and Won client from the last full month found in every platform's conversion list.
  • The same check run again a month later, and after any banner or lead form change.

Hearth · when not to buy

When Hearth tracking isn't worth paying for

It pays off when paid ads bring in the homeowners who finance. That isn't every contractor.

  • If most of your Hearth financing goes to referrals and past clients, no ad started those jobs, and the Financing tab already answers the question.
  • If a loan funds through Hearth only now and then, get the first lead tracked properly and keep financing out of your bidding.
  • If Google and Meta aren't part of your marketing, Hearth's own New, In Progress and Won statuses give you what you need.
  • If calls and form fills aren't reaching you before anyone sends a Hearth link, that leak costs more than financing attribution, so fix it first.

Hearth · what we deliver

The event map on Hearth

  • Ad lead captured

Your site form or Hearth's Lead Website Form, with the Google and Meta click IDs plus UTMs captured on arrival and tied to the homeowner's email and phone before anyone offers financing.

  • Financing banner clicked

Outbound event from your site, fired before the redirect to Hearth. Reported for page decisions, never bid on.

  • Prequalified

From Hearth's Financing tab or its prequalified alert. Secondary qualified-lead signal, with the requested amount kept as context, not revenue.

  • Quote approved or contract signed

The booked job, taken from Hearth's Won status on cash and financed jobs alike.

  • Funded, then invoice paid

The conversion bidding learns from, valued at what the homeowner actually paid on the Hearth invoice, not the loan size they asked for.

  • Not Pre-Qualified and Lost

Never sent as wins. If a job already reported is later marked Lost, it's retracted in Google Ads with a conversion adjustment and left out of every later Meta upload.

FAQ

Hearth questions, answered

No. Hearth says it has no open API, and its help center documents no ad platform link, so funded jobs get to Google Ads and Meta through a conversion upload matched on the gclid or fbclid stored when the lead came in.
