Nextiva rings every call through. Google Ads still can't tell which ones paid for themselves.
Nextiva's Voice Analytics reports every call by user and location, but its integrations page names no Google Ads, GA4 or Meta connection. So your campaigns either count every call past a minimum length, existing customers included, or never hear about the call. We put Google forwarding numbers in front of your Nextiva lines and send only callers who booked back to Google and Meta.

Nextiva · what breaks
What goes wrong when Nextiva answers your ad calls
- 01
"Google Ads counts our existing customers as new leads"
Google counts any call past the minimum length you set. An alarm customer phoning about a false trip clears that bar, so Smart Bidding hunts for more people who already pay you.
- 02
"Our Nextiva calls aren't showing in Google Ads at all"
A visitor from your ad dials the Nextiva number printed on your site. The only browser event is the tel: tap. Unless Google's website call snippet swaps in a forwarding number, the call never reaches your ad account.
- 03
"Facebook has no idea anybody phoned us"
A podiatry patient or sprinkler-inspection lead sees your Meta ad, then calls. Nextiva has no Meta connection, so Meta never learns a call happened and keeps optimizing for page views.
- 04
"One number on the van, the website and the ads"
Nextiva allows up to 10 alternate numbers per user, team or call flow, yet many businesses publish one main line everywhere. The call log then can't say whether Google Ads, your Business Profile or a truck wrap produced the job.
Nextiva · the fix
What changes after the fix — Nextiva
Google bids on callers who became jobs
Booked calls are imported against Google's call records by caller number and start time, with the job value, so bidding stops rewarding long calls from existing customers.
Meta finally hears about phone customers
Qualified Nextiva callers reach Meta's Conversions API with action_source phone_call and a hashed number, sent from a first-party server.
Every source gets its own Nextiva line
Ads, Business Profile and offline marketing each ring their own alternate number into the same call flow, so every logged call traces to a source.
Nextiva · architecture
What Nextiva actually lets you hook into
Nextiva is a phone system first. These are the documented pieces we build on, and what we confirm on your account.
- 1
Voice Analytics call logs and CSV export
The call log exports as CSV and custom reports filter by user, location, call type and calling number. The export's columns aren't documented, so we confirm caller number and start time first.
- 2
Zapier triggers for received, missed and voicemail calls
Nextiva's Zapier app documents New Received Call, New Missed Call and New Voicemail. You need your own Zapier plan, and we confirm the caller number comes through before relying on it.
- 3
Alternate numbers per source
Up to 10 extra numbers per user, team or call flow, ringing the same inbound path. A number used this way can't send texts, so texting lines stay separate.
- 4
CRM and field service connections
Nextiva lists Salesforce, HubSpot, GoHighLevel, Zoho and ServiceTitan. We check whether your setup writes calls onto the customer record.
- 5
No ad platform connection
Its integrations page lists nothing for Google Ads, GA4, Google Tag Manager or Meta, so that link is built outside Nextiva.
Nextiva · diagnose
Where Nextiva call tracking breaks, in the order we check
Start with the number on your website, because that's where most Nextiva ad calls disappear.
- 01
Does an ad visitor see a Google forwarding number?
Click a test ad, load your site and see whether the Nextiva number gets swapped.
- 02
Is the snippet number an exact match?
Google's snippet only replaces a number that matches the page text exactly, one number per page by default.
- 03
Is the tel: tap a primary conversion?
If so, every website call counts twice.
- 04
Which Nextiva number sits on each source?
Compare your Business Profile, site, ads and vehicles against the numbers on your Nextiva users and call flows.
- 05
How many counted calls were existing customers?
Match a week of Google call conversions to your customer list.
- 06
Does Meta receive anything for calls?
Usually nothing, which is why phone-heavy Meta campaigns look like failures.

Source of truth
Nextiva Voice Analytics call log export for the closed window, matched to booked jobs and invoices in your CRM or field service software
- A test call from an ad click, found in Google's call details and the Nextiva call log at the same start time.
- A website call from an ad visit, confirmed on the forwarding number, not the printed Nextiva line.
- Existing-customer and vendor calls absent from every conversion action.
- Booked jobs imported to Google with values matching the invoice.
- One Meta event per qualified caller, with action_source phone_call, checked in Events Manager.
- The reconciliation repeated 30 days later.

Nextiva · when not to buy
When you don't need this on Nextiva
Plenty of Nextiva customers are fine without us, and we'll say so on the call.
- If you don't run Google or Meta ads and calls come from referrals and your Business Profile, Nextiva's own Voice Analytics reports are enough.
- If you only run Local Services Ads, Google reports and bills those calls itself.
- If a call tracking platform already sits in front of your Nextiva lines and matches your bookings, the fix belongs there.
- If you take a handful of ad calls a week and know every caller, a weekly spreadsheet against Google's call details will do.

FAQ
Nextiva questions, answered
Not directly. Nextiva's integrations page lists CRMs, help desks and field service tools, but no Google Ads, GA4 or Meta. The link is built from Google forwarding numbers, Nextiva's call logs and your booking records.
Google only sees calls that pass through its own forwarding numbers. If your site shows the plain Nextiva number to ad visitors, or call reporting is off in your ads, those calls never reach Google.
No. A Google forwarding number routes the call to your business number, so it still rings your Nextiva call flow and staff as before.
Not on its own. A qualified call goes to Meta's Conversions API from a server with action_source phone_call, built from Nextiva's call log or New Received Call Zapier trigger plus your CRM booking.
Clinical details never go to an ad platform. We review with you whether even a hashed phone number fits your HIPAA obligations, and send only what you approve.
No. Use Nextiva's New Missed Call trigger as an alert and a report on which ad hours lose callers; conversions stay limited to answered, qualified calls.
