Projul conversion tracking for remodelers who can't tell which ads sign jobs
Your ads say they're producing leads and Projul's Lead Pipeline fills up, but nobody can tell which campaign brought in the kitchen remodel that signed. Projul's website form is loaded by a script from leads.projul.com, and the leads it creates never report back to Google or Meta on their own. We wire the form's lead-submitted message into your tags, then send Projul's Estimate Accepted and Payment Received events back so the ad platforms learn which clicks become paying jobs.

Projul · what breaks
What goes wrong when Projul runs your leads
- 01
"Google says we're getting leads, but hardly any sign"
With nothing flowing back from Projul, Google Ads and Meta optimize toward anyone who fills in the form, so your budget drifts to whatever produces cheap submissions instead of signed estimates.
- 02
"The form works, but Analytics never sees it"
The Projul form shows a confirmation message instead of sending visitors to a thank-you page, so there's no page view for GA4 or your ad tags to count. Unless someone added Projul's listener script, submits usually go unrecorded and Google bids blind.
- 03
"Every lead counts the same, deck or full addition"
A small deck and a second-story addition hit the ad platforms as identical leads. Without the accepted estimate's value, smart bidding can't tell your best jobs from your smallest.
- 04
"Our Angi leads are inflating the ad report"
Projul documents Zapier as the way to route Angi and HomeAdvisor leads into the same pipeline as your website form. If every lead in that pipeline counts as a conversion, you'll credit Google for jobs it never touched.
Projul · the fix
What changes after the fix — Projul
Ads optimize toward signed estimates
Accepted Projul estimates reach Google Ads and Meta with their dollar value, so bidding favors the searches and audiences that turn into real remodels.
One lead per Projul form submit
One owner fires the lead event from Projul's lead-submitted message, with a shared event ID so browser and server never count it twice.
Paid leads separated from everything else
Marketplace, referral and manually entered leads are kept out of the paid conversion, so cost per signed job reflects your ad spend alone.
Projul · architecture
What Projul actually lets you hook into
Everything here comes from Projul's help center, Zapier listing or integrations page. Anything less certain is written as a check.
- 1
Lead capture form loaded by script
Projul gives you HTML with a div and a script that loads from leads.projul.com. You register your domain under Lead Pipeline settings before it accepts submissions.
- 2
A lead-submitted message for tracking
Projul documents a browser message sent from leads.projul.com after each saved lead, plus a listener that fires generate_lead in GA4 or pushes projul_lead_submitted to the dataLayer. It carries no lead details, and rejected submissions don't send it.
- 3
Zapier triggers for the money events
Projul's Zapier app includes New Lead, Lead Converted to Job, Estimate Accepted, Invoice Paid, Payment Received and Project Status Changed, plus a Find Estimate search for pulling totals.
- 4
API keys and webhooks through AI Connect
Projul's AI Connect documentation describes REST access with webhook endpoints, secret rotation and delivery replay, but doesn't list which changes fire a webhook. We confirm which events your account exposes before building on them.
- 5
Check UTM and click ID capture
Projul's marketing says the form captures UTM parameters. We confirm on a test lead whether they, and the Google click ID, are actually saved on the record.
Projul · diagnose
Where Projul tracking breaks, in diagnostic order
On Projul sites the most common fault is a lead that never reaches any tag at all, so that's where we start.
- 01
Submit a test lead and watch the dataLayer
If no projul_lead_submitted event or generate_lead hit appears, the listener script is missing or sits outside the form's block.
- 02
Count conversions per submit
Projul warns that using both gtag and GTM, or a thank-you page tag plus the listener, counts each lead twice.
- 03
Check page builders that frame custom HTML
Projul notes that some site builders put custom code in a separate frame, and the listener then has to live in the same block as the form.
- 04
Open the lead in Projul
Look for the source, UTM values and any click ID on the record. Without them, accepted estimates can't be tied back to a campaign.
- 05
Compare accepted estimates with reported conversions
Pull a closed month of Estimate Accepted events and see which ones Google Ads and Meta credited at all.
Projul · prove
How we prove it on Projul
Every check runs on your live website form and your real Projul account, not a staging copy.
Source of truth
Projul Lead Pipeline and estimate records: leads by source and date, estimates accepted with their totals, and payments received
- A test lead from an ad-tagged URL, confirmed in Projul within the 20 to 60 seconds Projul documents.
- One GA4 generate_lead and one Meta Lead for each Projul form submit, the Meta pair sharing an event ID so Events Manager drops the duplicate.
- A failed or rejected submission confirmed to fire nothing.
- Estimate Accepted received by Google Ads and Meta with the correct value.
- Angi, HomeAdvisor and manually entered leads confirmed absent from paid conversions.
- Every accepted estimate in a closed month lined up, job by job, against what Google Ads and Meta credited.
- The full check rerun a month later, and again whenever the website or the Projul form snippet changes.

Projul · when not to buy
When you don't need this on Projul
Plenty of Projul users are better off with a small fix or nothing at all.
- If most of your work comes from referrals and repeat clients and you spend little on ads, Projul's own lead sources will tell you enough.
- If you only want form submissions counted in GA4, Projul's listener script does that, and your web person can paste it in an afternoon.
- If your leads come mostly from Angi or HomeAdvisor, they didn't start with a Google or Meta click, so there's no ad click to feed an accepted estimate back to.
- If your estimates are accepted outside Projul, on paper or in another tool, fix that process first or the accepted-estimate signal won't exist.
Projul · what we deliver
The event map on Projul
Projul form submitted
Fired from the lead-submitted message the form posts back from leads.projul.com, sent as generate_lead in GA4 and as a Lead to Meta.
Lead converted to job
Projul's Lead Converted to Job trigger, sent as a qualified-lead signal once your team decides the project is real.
Estimate accepted
The main conversion for Google Ads and Meta, valued from the accepted estimate total.
Payment received
Deposits and progress payments from Projul's Payment Received trigger, logged as revenue against the original lead.
Status changes and lost projects
Tracked through Project Status Changed so dead leads stop looking like wins in your reporting.
Excluded: marketplace and manual leads
Angi, HomeAdvisor and hand-entered Projul leads are tagged by source and left out of paid-ad conversions. Facebook lead-form leads stay off the website lead event, because Meta already counted them on its own form.
Written guarantee
95%+ tracking accuracy
Measured against Projul Lead Pipeline and estimate records: leads by source and date, estimates accepted with their totals, and payments received. Miss it and we keep working at no cost.

FAQ
Projul questions, answered
Not that Projul documents. Its integrations page names Zapier, not a direct Google Ads or Meta connection, and mentions Google Ads landing pages and Facebook lead forms only as lead sources funneled into the pipeline. Sending conversions back has to be built.
Projul's help center provides a listener script that hears the form's lead-submitted message and sends generate_lead to GA4, or pushes projul_lead_submitted to Google Tag Manager. Mark generate_lead as a key event and use only one of the two methods.
Yes. Projul's Zapier app has an Estimate Accepted trigger, and Google Ads accepts imported offline conversions matched by the saved Google click ID or by hashed customer data such as email. That's the signal that teaches Google which searches turn into signed remodels.
Usually two tags fire on one submit, such as a thank-you page conversion plus Projul's listener, or gtag and GTM together. Projul's own help article warns that either combination counts each lead twice.
They land in Projul, but they shouldn't count as Google or Meta conversions. We tag them by source so they stay in your pipeline reporting and out of your ad data.
Projul users who advertise: kitchen and bath remodelers, basement finishers, deck and patio cover builders, ADU and addition builders, stair and railing contractors and general contractors.
