Knowify conversion tracking: the contract gets signed, the job goes active, and your ads never find out
Someone clicks your remodel or EV charger ad, calls or fills in a form on your website, and gets typed into Knowify as a new client with no trace of the campaign. Weeks later they e-sign the contract from the portal link and the job goes active, while Google and Meta are still optimizing on form fills. We carry the click from your site into Knowify and send signed contracts, with their value, back to your ad accounts.

Knowify · what breaks
What goes wrong when Knowify sits between your ads and your signed contracts
- 01
"Knowify shows the job. It can't tell me which ad brought it in."
Knowify starts at the client record, and its own CRM page says it has no marketing automation features. Whatever form or call produced the lead, the campaign is gone before anyone types the client's name in, so you can't say which ads are booking jobs.
- 02
"Google counts every form. Half of them never get a bid."
Your ads only see the website submit, so a request for a small patch job scores the same as a full tenant build-out. Smart Bidding then spends more on the cheap, easy leads your estimators never bother to price.
- 03
"Knowify knows which bids we lost. Our ads don't."
Contract jobs marked rejected stay inside Knowify and never reach Meta or Google. Both keep paying for more leads like the ones you priced and lost, because nobody told them the bid died.
- 04
"Every contract is worth the same to the algorithm"
A hardwood floor refinish and a dock-and-seawall build get identical credit, or none, because no contract amount ever leaves Knowify. Budget drifts toward lead volume instead of the jobs that pay.
Knowify · the fix
What changes after the fix — Knowify
Each Knowify client traceable to a campaign
The Google click ID, Meta click ID and UTM tags are saved when the lead submits on your site, then matched to the client when it's created in Knowify.
Bidding learns from signed contracts
When a contract job goes active after the e-signature, Google Ads and Meta receive a conversion carrying the contract amount, matched to the original click.
Rejected bids and repeat clients stay out
Jobs marked rejected, change orders on existing work and returning clients are filtered, so the ad platforms only learn from new revenue.
Knowify · architecture
What Knowify actually lets you hook into
Taken from Knowify's own product and integration pages and its Zapier listing. Anything those pages don't state is a test on your account.
- 1
No website lead capture or ad integrations
Knowify's integrations page lists accounting, payroll, payments, CompanyCam and Zapier. There's no Google Ads, GA4, Tag Manager or Meta connection, so the click has to be captured on your own site.
- 2
Zapier triggers for the sales cycle
New Client, New Contract Job, Contract Out for Signature, Contract Job Made Active, Contract Job Marked as Rejected and Job Custom Workflow Stage Updated are all listed triggers. The listing doesn't show which fields each one passes, so we confirm the contract amount comes through on a test job before using it as the conversion value.
- 3
Zapier actions to create records
Create Client, Create Contract Job and Create Service Job let a website form open the Knowify record directly. Create Contract Job has an optional Notes field; we confirm whether that, or anything on the client, can hold a click ID on your account.
- 4
E-signature through the portal link
Knowify documents e-signable contracts sent by link, with the job becoming active once the client signs. That status change is the cleanest conversion moment it offers.
- 5
Payments through Square or QuickBooks Payments
ACH and card payments on invoices, with a New Invoice Payment trigger in Zapier for an optional revenue signal.
- 6
Conversions sent from a server container
Knowify can't post to ad platforms, so signed contracts go to Google Ads as offline conversions and to Meta's Conversions API from a first-party container we set up.
Knowify · diagnose
Where Knowify tracking breaks, in diagnostic order
We start on your website, because Knowify never sees the ad click unless something hands it over.
- 01
Check whether your site form stores the click ID at all
Submit from a test URL with a gclid and fbclid, then see what got saved.
- 02
Follow the lead into Knowify
Find out whether it arrives through Zapier, an email someone retypes, or a phone call, and whether any source survives.
- 03
Look at what Google Ads and Meta count as a conversion
Usually a thank-you page view, sometimes a button click, sometimes nothing.
- 04
Check how your workflow stages and statuses are used
If estimators skip marking contracts rejected or activate jobs before signature, the trigger fires on the wrong event.
- 05
Compare active contract jobs with reported conversions
Job by job, over a closed month.

Source of truth
Knowify contract job records: jobs made active with activation date and contract amount, jobs marked rejected, and invoice payments
- One test lead from an ad-tagged URL, with the click ID matched to the new Knowify client.
- A test contract signed and made active, received once in Google Ads and once in Meta with one event ID.
- Contract amount on the conversion matching the signed contract in Knowify.
- A contract marked rejected confirmed to send nothing.
- Change orders and repeat-client jobs confirmed absent from the acquisition conversion.
- Active jobs reconciled against both ad platforms across a closed month.
- Rechecked 30 days later and after any change to your Zaps or workflow stages.

Knowify · when not to buy
When you don't need this on Knowify
A lot of Knowify users run on bids and relationships, not ads, and that's fine.
- If your work comes from public bid boards, GC invitations or repeat commercial clients, there's no ad click to connect, so spend the money elsewhere.
- If contracts get signed on paper and jobs are activated whenever someone remembers, fix that habit first, or the conversion fires on noise.
- If HubSpot or another CRM already holds your leads with click IDs and reports outcomes to Google and Meta, the work belongs there, and we'll tell you.
- If you spend a few hundred dollars a month on one campaign, a simple call and form conversion may be all you need.

FAQ
Knowify questions, answered
Not natively. Knowify's integrations page lists no Google Ads, GA4, Tag Manager or Meta connection, so conversions have to go out through Zapier and a server container we build.
Not on its own. Knowify's CRM page says it has no marketing automation features, so the lead is captured by a form on your site and can then create the Knowify client through Zapier's Create Client action.
The contract job going active after the client e-signs. It's the point where a bid becomes revenue, and Zapier exposes it as a trigger, so Google and Meta can learn from it.
Yes, if the click ID is saved when the lead submits and tied to the client. Google's offline conversion import is built on that saved click ID, and Meta's Conversions API accepts CRM events from your server.
It makes the match window matter. We check each platform's lookback limit against how long your bids usually take to sign, and report the early qualified step too so bidding isn't starved while contracts are pending.
Not as new conversions. Change Order Made Active and later invoice payments are kept out of the acquisition count so a single job isn't credited twice.
