DripJobs conversion tracking: stop counting taps, see which ads sign proposals

You run Google and Facebook ads, leads land in your DripJobs pipeline, and proposals get signed. But Google and Meta only saw a tap on Book an Estimate, because the form itself runs on your DripJobs booking link, not your website. We tie estimate requests and accepted proposals back to the ad that started them, so your budget goes to the painting, roofing and remodeling jobs you actually close.

DripJobs · what breaks

What goes wrong when DripJobs meets your ads

  1. 01

"Google shows more leads than DripJobs ever got"

Your website tag counts taps on the Book an Estimate button. The real submission happens on your DripJobs booking link, and DripJobs documents no place for your Google tag there, so Google learns from taps that never became estimate requests and you pay for more of them.

  2. 02

"Half my leads say No Lead Source"

DripJobs tells you to match the lead sources in your company settings to the options on your website and ad forms. When they drift apart, a Facebook lead lands with no source, and you can't tell which campaign is paying for itself.

  3. 03

"The ads report leads, not signed jobs"

The money moment in DripJobs is a proposal marked accepted, often days or weeks after the estimate visit. Nothing sends that back to Google or Meta, so both keep buying cheap form fills from homeowners who never sign.

  4. 04

"A bedroom touch-up counts the same as a whole-house repaint"

If you sell Good/Better/Best packages, the same lead can be worth a few hundred dollars or many thousands. Without the accepted proposal total on the conversion, every lead looks equal and your bidding can't favor the big repaints and roof replacements.

DripJobs · the fix

What changes after we fix it — DripJobs

  • Every DripJobs lead traced to its ad

The click ID and UTMs are stored on your site before the visitor jumps to the booking link. When the lead lands in DripJobs, its email and phone go back hashed, so Google's enhanced conversions for leads and Meta's Conversions API can match it to the ad.

  • Google and Meta learn from signed proposals

When a proposal is marked accepted in DripJobs, the conversion goes server-side to Google Ads and the Meta Conversions API, valued at the proposal total once we confirm your zap can carry it.

  • Paid leads and marketplace leads in separate columns

Angi webhook leads, Thumbtack and HomeAdvisor deals stay tagged and never inflate the numbers your ad campaigns are judged on.

DripJobs · architecture

What DripJobs actually lets you hook into

In the help center and integration pages we reviewed, DripJobs doesn't document a Google Ads, GA4 or Meta Pixel connection. What it does document is enough to build on.

  1. 1

Hosted booking link or iframe embed

The booking form runs on your DripJobs booking link (yourcompany.dripjobs.com/booking in their example), and DripJobs says that form can't be edited. It can go in an iframe, though DripJobs warns some sites block iframes from another domain.

  2. 2

    The ?ls= lead source parameter

Adding ?ls=Google or ?ls=Facebook to the booking link sets the lead source from the link and hides that question on the form.

  3. 3

    Thank-you page URL option

The booking form settings include a thank-you page URL. We confirm whether it redirects to your own domain, where a tag could fire.

  4. 4

    Zapier triggers and actions

Zapier is listed on the Advanced and Growth plans. Triggers include Booking Form Submitted, New Lead Created, On-Site Estimate Scheduled, Proposal Accepted, Proposal Rejected and New Payment Received; actions include Create Lead.

  5. 5

    Webhooks for lead providers

Angi leads arrive through a DripJobs webhook in the Cold Leads stage with an Angi Leads tag. Thumbtack has a documented webhook route, HomeAdvisor a Zapier route, and Networx its own integration article.

DripJobs · diagnose

Where DripJobs tracking breaks, in the order we check

The usual DripJobs setup has a healthy pipeline and a blind spot between the ad click and the booking link, so we start there.

  1. 01

What your Google Ads lead conversion actually counts

If it's a button click or a page view on your site, it's counting intent, not DripJobs submissions.

  2. 02

Whether the click ID survives the jump to the booking link

Book once from a URL with a test gclid and see if anything links that lead back to the click.

  3. 03

Lead source settings against your ?ls= links and form options

We compare the sources in your company settings with your form options and each ?ls= link, then look at how many recent deals came in with no source.

  4. 04

Which zaps already exist and what they send

We list every zap that touches DripJobs and what it creates, because a forgotten one can add duplicate leads or post to the wrong stage.

  5. 05

How proposal values and payments reach the event

We check whether Proposal Accepted carries the package total or needs a lookup, and whether online card payments fire the payment trigger or only manually recorded ones do.

Tested on your live booking link and a real proposal, not a preview.

Source of truth

Your DripJobs sales pipeline: leads by source, on-site estimates scheduled, and proposals marked accepted with their totals

  • A test estimate request from a tagged ad URL, matched to its click in the server container.
  • The correct lead source showing on the DripJobs deal, not No Lead Source.
  • One accepted-proposal conversion in Google Ads and one in Meta Events Manager, sharing an event ID.
  • Conversion value equal to the accepted proposal total.
  • An Angi or Thumbtack test lead confirmed absent from ad conversions.
  • A closed month of accepted proposals reconciled deal by deal against both platforms.
  • The same check repeated 30 days later and after any zap or booking form change.

DripJobs · when not to buy

When you don't need us for DripJobs

Some painting, roofing and remodeling crews only need a quick settings cleanup.

  • If nearly all your work comes from referrals, Angi or Thumbtack and you don't run Google or Meta ads, DripJobs' own lead source reports already answer your question.
  • If your only problem is No Lead Source deals, match your DripJobs lead sources to your form options. That's a quick fix you can do yourself.
  • If you're on a DripJobs plan without Zapier and don't plan to upgrade, proposal-level tracking needs a different route, and we'll tell you before you spend anything.
  • If your ad spend is small, a tagged booking link per campaign may tell you enough for now.

FAQ

DripJobs questions, answered

Not in the DripJobs help center or integrations page we reviewed. Its documented hooks are the booking link, the ?ls= lead source tag, a thank-you page URL option, webhooks and Zapier, so ad tracking is built around those.
