Contractor Foreman knows which estimates got approved. Your ads don't.
Your website Lead Form drops inquiries into the Leads module, and an approved estimate turns the lead into a customer with a project. Google Ads and Meta never see that approval, so they keep buying cheap inquiries instead of the kitchens, decks and additions you sold. We put the ad click on each lead and send approved work back.

Contractor Foreman · what breaks
What goes wrong when ads feed Contractor Foreman
- 01
Google says we got leads, the Leads module disagrees
The Lead Form is code from your Lead settings that your developer adds to the site. If your tags can't see a confirmed submit, Google and Meta count button clicks or page loads, and you pay to optimize for visitors who never reached your Leads module.
- 02
Every lead says "website," none say which ad
Referral Source is a dropdown you build under Custom Data. At best it says Google, not which campaign or keyword, so you can't separate bathroom-remodel ads from the ones that bring price shoppers.
- 03
The approval wipes the lead off the board
An approved estimate converts the lead to a customer, creates the project and drops them from the Leads module. If the click ID wasn't saved first, nothing ties that job to an ad.
- 04
Bidding learns from tire-kickers
A small tile repair and a custom ADU look the same to Google and Meta when all they get is a form fill. Bidding drifts toward the cheapest form fills and your cost per approved estimate climbs.
Contractor Foreman · the fix
What changes when approvals reach your ads — Contractor Foreman
Each lead carries its ad click
Saved to a custom lead field when the inquiry arrives. Contractor Foreman carries every lead field to the customer record, so the click survives approval.
Google and Meta bid on approved estimates
Approvals return as valued conversions, so campaigns chase the remodels and builds you close.
A source report you can trust
Google Ads, Meta, Angi, referrals and organic each get their own Referral Source.
Contractor Foreman · architecture
What Contractor Foreman actually lets you hook into
From Contractor Foreman's knowledge base and integration pages. Where they're silent, we test on your account.
- 1
Lead Form
Turned on under Settings, Module Settings, Leads: pick the fields and the form code appears for your developer. We confirm the embed format and whether a field can hold the click ID.
- 2
Zapier triggers and actions
Triggers include Lead Created and Customer Created; actions are Create Lead and Create Customer. No estimate or payment trigger is listed, so we test whether Customer Created fires on approval.
- 3
Referral Source and stages
Custom Data holds your Stage and Referral Source lists. Opportunities have editable status labels such as Won and Lost.
- 4
Estimate approval
Approving a lead's estimate converts the lead to a customer and creates a project. Lead data carries over.
- 5
Stripe online payments
With Stripe connected, clients can pay eligible invoices online.
- 6
No ad platform connection
No documented Google Ads, GA4, Tag Manager, Meta Pixel or webhook option, so conversions are sent from outside the app.
Contractor Foreman · diagnose
Where Contractor Foreman tracking breaks, in diagnostic order
We start at the form, because a lost click can't be repaired later.
- 01
Check what fires when the Lead Form submits
Page view, button click or a confirmed submit.
- 02
Open a test lead for the click ID
No GCLID on the lead means nothing downstream can use it.
- 03
Check how Referral Source gets filled
Picked by the visitor, typed by your office, or blank.
- 04
Approve a test estimate
Confirm the click ID reaches the customer and note which Zapier triggers fire.
- 05
Separate Angi leads from ad leads
Angi imports land in the same Contractor Foreman CRM as your ad leads, and they must never feed Google or Meta.

Source of truth
Contractor Foreman leads with Referral Source, approved estimates with totals, and Stripe invoice payments
- One inquiry from an ad-tagged URL, with the click ID confirmed on the new lead.
- One Meta event per test inquiry in Events Manager, browser and server copies merged on the same event ID.
- The click ID confirmed on the customer record after a test approval.
- Approved estimates matched by date and amount against Google Ads and Meta over a closed window.
- Angi and lost leads confirmed absent from every ad platform.
- Rechecked after 30 days, and again whenever your developer touches the Lead Form code or its API key.

Contractor Foreman · when not to buy
When you don't need this on Contractor Foreman
Some contractors should spend the money on crews or marketing instead.
- If your leads come from Angi, referrals and yard signs and you don't run Google or Meta ads, there's no click to connect.
- If most work comes through Opportunities for past clients, a repeat-customer report tells you more.
- If nearly every ad lead phones you instead of using the Lead Form, the click never reaches Contractor Foreman on its own, so fix call tracking first.
- If you spend a few hundred dollars a month on one platform and your office reliably sets Referral Source, that may be enough for now.

FAQ
Contractor Foreman questions, answered
Not that we found in its docs. Its integrations cover Angi Leads, Zapier, QuickBooks, Stripe and calendars, so ad conversions are sent from outside the app.
Not by itself. The click ID is captured on your site and written to a lead field; we confirm whether the form can carry it or needs a first-party form posting to Contractor Foreman.
Yes, if the GCLID was saved on the lead. Google's offline conversion import matches a stored click ID to a later sale. Approval turns the lead into a customer, so we confirm whether Zapier's Customer Created trigger fires at that moment or export approved estimates instead.
No. They come from Angi's marketplace, not your ads, so they stay in Contractor Foreman reporting only.
It leaves the Leads module, the project is created and, per Contractor Foreman's docs, lead data carries to the customer. We test that the click ID makes the trip.
