Can't tell if PlanHub or your Google Ads won the job?
You bid PlanHub projects all week and pay Google Ads for direct inquiries, and by award day nobody remembers which one found the work. PlanHub keeps bids and wins on its own Bid Board, so they reach your CRM only when someone retypes them, and a blank source field lets your ad accounts claim them. Fixed means every PlanHub award carries a PlanHub label, only ad-sourced jobs go to Google and Meta, and you can see which channel pays for itself.

PlanHub · what breaks
What goes wrong when PlanHub sits beside your ads
- 01
My branded search ads look amazing and I don't believe it
A GC sees your profile on a PlanHub project, Googles your company, clicks your brand ad and fills your form. Google Ads counts a cheap lead that PlanHub actually produced, and you keep paying for the clicks.
- 02
Won jobs get uploaded with no source on them
PlanHub's help center documents no CRM sync or export for subcontractors, so someone retypes the award. If the source field defaults to web, Google and Meta get credit for a sprinkler or roofing package they never touched, and bidding chases the wrong searches.
- 03
I can't say if Premier or Google Ads is worth the money
Win and loss history sits on PlanHub's Bid Board and its Network CRM, while ad leads sit in your own CRM. With the two never side by side, renewing Premier or raising your ad budget is a guess with real money on it.
- 04
Bid invites drown out the leads our ads paid for
PlanHub's daily summary emails land in the same inbox as website inquiries. When estimators work the bid invites first, a commercial lead your ads paid for can sit until tomorrow and go to a faster sub.
PlanHub · the fix
What changes after the fix — PlanHub
Ad platforms learn from ad wins only
Google Ads and Meta receive website and call conversions carrying a click ID, and PlanHub-sourced projects stay in your own reports.
Brand search measured honestly
Inquiries from GCs who already met you on PlanHub get flagged, so branded campaign results stop borrowing credit from the bid network.
Cost per awarded project for each channel
Your PlanHub Premier fee, if you pay one, and your ad spend sit in one report beside the projects each actually won, by trade and contract size.
PlanHub · architecture
What PlanHub actually lets you hook into
PlanHub's docs describe no pixel, tag or ad-platform connection. For subcontractors it's a closed bid workspace, so the hooks are few and mostly manual.
- 1
Bid Board and Bid Tracker
The Bid Tracker moves your bids through Submitted, Reviewing, Under Consideration, Awarded and Not Awarded with the bid amount shown, and wins land in the Bid Board's Won column. No export is described, so we treat it as the record of PlanHub wins.
- 2
Email Integration (Premier)
Connects your professional email so GC messages send from your address and log on the project's Communications tab. Useful for spotting which inbox threads began on PlanHub.
- 3
Public profile with your website URL
GCs see your profile when you show interest, bid, or turn up in their trade search. We check whether clicks from it reach your site as a PlanHub referral or as direct traffic.
- 4
Data & API
PlanHub's API pushes project, company and contact data into a CRM or BI tool. It's pitched at supplier sales teams, not subs, so we confirm whether your account has it before relying on it.
- 5
Imported projects
You can add projects not listed on PlanHub to the Bid Board. The docs don't say imports are labeled, so outside work can blend into PlanHub numbers.
PlanHub · diagnose
Where PlanHub muddies your ad data, in the order we check
We start with the offline upload, then work back to brand search, because those two are where PlanHub work gets misread as ad results.
- 01
Read what your offline conversion job sends
If it pulls every won job from the CRM, PlanHub awards go with it.
- 02
Check the source on retyped PlanHub awards
Look for blanks, 'Website' defaults, or the estimator's own shorthand.
- 03
Split branded search conversions
Compare brand-campaign leads against GCs active on your PlanHub projects in the same week.
- 04
Look at referral traffic from planhub domains in GA4
See whether profile clicks show up as referrals or vanish into direct.
- 05
Confirm website leads keep their click ID
Submit a test inquiry through a URL carrying a test GCLID and find that ID on the CRM record.

Source of truth
PlanHub's Bid Board and Bid Tracker statuses for PlanHub work, matched against your CRM pipeline with the locked source field
- A test website inquiry through a GCLID-tagged link, with the click ID found on the CRM record.
- A PlanHub award entered through your normal process, with the PlanHub source confirmed.
- The offline upload run on a closed window, with zero PlanHub-sourced projects in it.
- Every project in the Bid Board's Won column found in the CRM with the right source.
- Ad-sourced awards reconciled one by one against Google Ads and Meta.
- Rerun a month on, and again whenever the CRM source field or upload query changes.

PlanHub · when not to buy
When PlanHub doesn't need fixing
Lots of subs on PlanHub's free profile have nothing to fix.
- If you don't run Google Ads or Meta, PlanHub can't skew anything; a source column in your job list is plenty.
- If you never upload won jobs as offline conversions and only count form fills, PlanHub awards aren't reaching the ad platforms.
- If nearly all your work comes through PlanHub ITBs from GCs you already know, spend the effort on bid quality, not attribution.
- If you only bid a handful of PlanHub projects a year, tagging them by hand takes minutes and we'll tell you so.

FAQ
PlanHub questions, answered
No. PlanHub's docs show no pixel or ad-platform connection. Your ad conversions come from your website and call tracking, and PlanHub work should stay out of them.
PlanHub's subcontractor help docs cover the Bid Board and Bid Tracker but not an export or CRM sync. Its Data & API product feeds project data to CRMs and is aimed at suppliers, so we check what your account includes.
A GC who sees your PlanHub profile may search your company name next. If they click your brand ad and fill your form, Google Ads counts it, even though PlanHub made the introduction.
No. Nobody clicked an ad to win them, so uploading them pushes bidding toward searches that didn't produce the work. Keep them in your own cost-per-win report.
Put a source on every awarded project, then divide each channel's cost by its wins and contract value. The free audit does this on last year's jobs.
Mostly commercial subs: HVAC, electrical, roofing, concrete, fire protection, low voltage, demolition, excavation, abatement, paving and striping firms that bid GC work and also want direct inquiries.
