Hibu says the calls are coming in. You can't tell which ones paid.
With Hibu, the website, ads, tracking numbers and dashboard all come from one vendor, and its terms say Hibu's click and impression counts are the definitive measurement, with no other numbers accepted, including yours. Contracts typically run 6 to 12 months, and you renew on figures you can't check against your own jobs. We put conversion tracking in Google Ads, Meta and GA4 accounts you control, tied to the jobs customers actually paid for.

Hibu · what breaks
What goes wrong when Hibu runs everything
- 01
"Hibu grades its own homework"
Hibu's terms make its own click and impression counts the definitive measurement and say no other numbers, yours included, will be accepted. Without your own record, you can't show which campaigns brought generator installs and which brought tire-kickers.
- 02
"The number on my ads isn't mine"
Hibu assigns a tracking number per channel, and its Search service includes call tracking unless you opt out. The call-forwarding terms limit that number to your website and let Hibu disconnect it, or forward its calls to other advertisers in your market, if the service goes unpaid. The calls your ad budget paid to generate can end up ringing someone else.
- 03
"Bidding can't tell a job from a hang-up"
Hibu scores leads as Quality or Potential in its dashboard, but nothing it publishes sends that score to Google Ads or Meta. Counting raw calls, an emergency well pump call and a billing question from a softener customer look identical, so campaigns buy more of whatever rings.
- 04
"My paid jobs never reach the ad platforms"
QuickBooks Online syncs paid invoices into the Hibu Inbox, but Hibu documents no offline conversion import. Unless someone sends those payments back, Google Ads and Meta never learn which clicks turned into revenue.
Hibu · the fix
What changes — Hibu
A scoreboard you own
Conversions in your own Google Ads, Meta and GA4 accounts, so you judge Hibu, or anyone after them, on paid jobs.
Bidding that learns from invoices
QuickBooks payment values tied back to the original ad click, so campaigns chase grease trap contracts instead of hang-ups.
Leaving Hibu stops being risky
Call tracking numbers you own, the domain in your name and your own tags in place before renewal, with lead history requested from Hibu first.
Hibu · architecture
What Hibu actually gives you to work with
Hibu's public pages and service terms describe a closed, done-for-you system. Here's what exists and what we ask for.
- 1
Multi-Channel Lead Tracking numbers
Documented: a separate number per channel (website, listings, search, social, display) forwarding to your line, recorded and transcribed unless you're HIPAA-covered.
- 2
Hibu One Inbox
Documented: form fills, texts, Messenger, reviews and call details, scored Quality, Potential or Suspected Spam. No export is documented, so we request one.
- 3
QuickBooks Online sync
Documented: paid-in-full invoices and sales receipts appear on the contact. It's the nearest thing to revenue here, but nothing links it to an ad click.
- 4
Smart Site code access
Not documented. Hibu builds and maintains the site, so we confirm whether support will place your Google tag or Tag Manager container.
- 5
No documented GA4, Pixel, API or webhooks for you
Hibu's terms mention analytics it installs for some services, but we found no documentation for your own Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Meta Pixel or Conversions API, webhooks, Zapier or offline import. Your tracking gets added alongside.
Hibu · diagnose
Where Hibu tracking breaks, in the order we check
Ownership comes first, because on a Hibu account the biggest gap is usually access, not a broken tag.
- 01
Who is admin on the ad accounts
Hibu's terms let it set up and administer accounts for you. We check whose name the Google Ads and Meta accounts are in and whether you can see the conversion actions.
- 02
Which number each channel shows
Website, Google Business Profile, listings and ads, checked against your Hibu tracking numbers and your real line.
- 03
What fires on the Smart Site
Tag Assistant and Meta Pixel Helper on a live page: which tags exist, and who owns them.
- 04
Whether a form fill keeps the click ID
One test request from an ad-tagged URL, then a look at what reached the Inbox.
- 05
What counts as a lead
Hibu's reported lead total against Quality-scored leads and paid invoices for the same month.
- 06
Who holds the domain
If Hibu supplied it, it's registered to Hibu. A server container needs DNS you can change.

Source of truth
Your paid jobs: QuickBooks Online invoices and sales receipts, checked against the Hibu One Inbox lead and call history for the same dates
- A test form fill from an ad-tagged URL, with the click ID on the stored lead.
- A test call through each tracked number, logged once with source and duration.
- One conversion per lead in Google Ads and Meta, with a shared event ID.
- A closed month of paid invoices matched to their clicks and imported with invoice value.
- Spam, missed calls and repeat-customer payments absent from the bidding conversion.
- Repeated 30 days later and after any Hibu site update.

Hibu · when not to buy
When a Hibu customer doesn't need us
Some Hibu accounts are fine as they are, and we'll say so.
- If Hibu gives you ad account admin access and its lead counts already match your paid jobs, keep your money.
- If most work comes from referrals and your Google Business Profile, a better job log will tell you more than tracking.
- If you're early in a 12-month term and Hibu won't let anything be added to the site, we'll list what to ask for at renewal, and you can call us then.
- If all you need is the domain in your name, Hibu's terms say it will help with the transfer on request. Ask them directly.

FAQ
Hibu questions, answered
Hibu's public documentation doesn't say. Hibu maintains the site, so the request goes through its support; on the audit we check what's installed and what Hibu will allow.
Hibu's terms describe a number it arranges for you, limited to your website, that it can disconnect if the linked service goes unpaid. Treat it as rented and plan your own numbers before the contract ends.
Hibu pitches its QuickBooks connection as ROI visibility, but nothing it publishes ties a payment to a specific ad click inside Google Ads or Meta. Captured click IDs plus imported invoices do that.
It shouldn't, because we add tracking rather than remove Hibu's. Its display and social ad terms ask you to tell Hibu before site changes, so we coordinate through Hibu support.
If Hibu supplied it, its terms say it's registered to Hibu. You can ask to transfer it to your name, and Hibu says it will assist.
