GetMyBoat conversion tracking: see which charters your ads booked and which GetMyBoat found
You pay for Google and Meta clicks, but the trip gets quoted, paid and confirmed inside GetMyBoat, where your tag never loads, so your ad accounts show clicks and no charters. We catch the ad click on your own website first, carry it to the Direct Booking you create in GetMyBoat, and send Google and Meta only the charters your ads started, at what each trip was worth.

GetMyBoat · what breaks
What goes wrong when GetMyBoat sits between your ads and your bookings
- 01
"My ads send people to GetMyBoat and I can't see who booked"
Your Pixel and Google tag don't run on getmyboat.com, where the inquiry, quote and payment happen. Google Ads sees clicks and zero bookings, so Smart Bidding starves the campaign or chases cheap clicks from people who never charter.
- 02
"Google says my ads worked, but those were GetMyBoat's renters"
If every confirmed GetMyBoat trip is logged as a conversion, through a Zap on confirmation emails or a manual upload, renters who found you in GetMyBoat's own search get credited to your ads, and bidding pays more for demand the marketplace created.
- 03
"A caller from my ad booked, but nothing shows it"
Someone taps your fishing charter ad, calls, and you close them with a Direct Booking from your GetMyBoat inbox (1.5% owner fee, per GetMyBoat's announcement). Unless that booking is tied back to the call or form, the ad that started it gets no credit.
- 04
"I can't tell if ads beat GetMyBoat's cut"
GetMyBoat's owner page lists an 11.5% owner fee on domestic US marketplace transactions, and its Terms add a renter fee of up to 13% plus $20. Without cost per booked trip from ads next to that, a pontoon or jet ski rental can't say where next month's budget belongs.
GetMyBoat · the fix
What changes — GetMyBoat
Your ads learn from charters they started
Only bookings tied to a stored Google or Meta click are sent, once each, valued at the rental you actually earned.
GetMyBoat trips get their own column
Bookings that came from GetMyBoat's search are reported as marketplace revenue after the owner fee, never inside your ad conversions.
A straight answer on spend
Cost per booked trip from ads beside GetMyBoat's take per trip shows whether to push ads before peak season or let the listing carry the slow weekdays.
GetMyBoat · architecture
What GetMyBoat actually lets you hook into
We found no tag slot, Pixel field or ad platform integration in GetMyBoat's owner materials. What it does document decides where tracking has to live: on your side, not on the listing.
- 1
Inquiry, quote and booking inside GetMyBoat
Its owner page describes renters inquiring and the owner sending a price to book, with messaging and booking management in the GetMyBoat app. None of that runs your Google tag or Meta Pixel.
- 2
Direct Booking Feature
You add it from your GetMyBoat inbox and send a bookable offer the renter pays by card; GetMyBoat says it works for bookings from your website, phone or Facebook, with a 2.5% renter fee (minimum $5) in its Terms. Leads from your ads usually end up here, so its details go back on your lead record.
- 3
No framing or deep links into checkout
The Terms prohibit framing GetMyBoat or deep-linking to its purchase path without written permission, so its checkout can't sit on your page to fire a purchase event.
- 4
Contact sharing restricted on marketplace inquiries
The Terms bar sharing an email, phone number, website or company name, and any payment outside GetMyBoat. We never pull marketplace renters to your site; those trips stay GetMyBoat's.
- 5
Google Calendar connection
Owners can connect their booking schedule to Google Calendar. That's a schedule, not a conversion feed, so we confirm on your account whether bookings with amounts can be exported.
GetMyBoat · diagnose
Where GetMyBoat tracking breaks, in diagnostic order
Start with where your ad clicks land, because a click sent straight to a GetMyBoat listing can't be matched to anything afterward.
- 01
Check your ads' final URLs
Any ad pointing at a getmyboat.com listing loses its click ID at the door.
- 02
Look for marketplace trips in your ad conversions
Search Google Ads and Meta for the date and value of one booking that came from GetMyBoat's search.
- 03
Find what reported it
Usually a Zap on GetMyBoat confirmation emails or a spreadsheet upload with no source column.
- 04
Confirm the click on a site lead
Submit your inquiry form from an ad-tagged URL and open the lead record.
- 05
Check what each trip is valued at
The renter's total includes GetMyBoat's service fee; your conversion should carry the rental you earn.

Source of truth
Your GetMyBoat owner dashboard bookings, each checked against the lead record carrying its ad click and the matching Direct Booking details
- One inquiry from an ad-tagged link, with the click ID on the lead record.
- One Direct Booking created in GetMyBoat for that lead, its date and rental total on the same record.
- That booking showing once in Google Ads and once in Meta Events Manager, browser and server copies merged on one event ID.
- Zero ad conversions for any booking from GetMyBoat's own search.
- Every Direct Booking from a closed month found in Google Ads and Meta, and nothing extra.
- Marketplace revenue reported after GetMyBoat's owner fee, apart from direct revenue.
- The same checks rerun a month later and whenever your forms or GetMyBoat setup change.

GetMyBoat · when not to buy
When you don't need this for GetMyBoat
Plenty of charter and rental owners on GetMyBoat are fine without us.
- If you don't buy Google or Meta ads and GetMyBoat fills your calendar, its own dashboard already tells you what you need.
- If your ads all point at your GetMyBoat listing and you won't change that, there's no booking to match back. Judge those ads on clicks, or send them to a page on your own site.
- If you take bookings in separate booking software and list on GetMyBoat as a second channel, the work is on that software's tracking; GetMyBoat just stays out of it.
- If you book only a few direct charters a month, a lead sheet with click IDs and a monthly manual upload may be enough, and we'll tell you so.
GetMyBoat · what we deliver
The event map for an owner on GetMyBoat
Ad visitor lands on your site
GCLID, fbclid and UTMs saved first-party on your own website, since nothing survives a jump to a GetMyBoat listing.
Inquiry form or tracked call
The lead event, tied to the stored click, for renters who contact you from your own site.
Trip quoted
Logged on the lead when you price the charter, so bidding can lean toward renters who get serious instead of anyone who asks.
Direct booking paid in GetMyBoat
The conversion. The Direct Booking's date, listing and rental total go on the lead, then out to Google Ads offline import and Meta's Conversions API with one shared event ID.
GetMyBoat marketplace booking
Recorded for reporting at what you keep after the owner fee, and excluded from every ad upload.
Cancellation or weather refund
A weather cancellation under GetMyBoat's Terms means a full refund or an agreed reschedule. Refunds are retracted in Google Ads through conversion adjustments; on the Meta side they're corrected in your reporting.
FAQ
GetMyBoat questions, answered
Not that we found. GetMyBoat's owner materials describe no tag field, and its Terms bar framing the site or deep-linking to its checkout, so tracking has to start on your own website.
Only the ones your ads started. Trips renters found through GetMyBoat's own search are marketplace sales, and sending them teaches Smart Bidding to pay for demand your ads didn't create.
Not marketplace inquiries. GetMyBoat's Terms prohibit sharing contact details or a website address and taking payment off the platform, with account suspension as the penalty, so we track around those rules, not through them.
The click ID is saved when the renter lands on your site and stored with their form or call. When they pay your Direct Booking offer in GetMyBoat, the date and rental total go on that lead, and the paid trip is sent to Google Ads and Meta from there.
The rental you earn, not the renter's total, which includes GetMyBoat's service fee. Marketplace trips are reported at what's left after GetMyBoat's owner fee.
If you spend on Google or Meta every season, yes, because it's the only way to see cost per booked trip. If you don't advertise, GetMyBoat's dashboard is enough.
