Eventective conversion tracking: inquiries in your inbox, nothing in Google Ads

A planner clicks your ad, lands on your venue's site, fills in the Eventective inquiry form, and the request shows up in your Eventective Inbox marked "Website." The contract is e-signed and paid inside Eventective too, so Google Ads and Meta never learn which click became a booked wedding. We save the click on your own domain, send Booked events back from your Eventective reports, and keep directory Referrals and Lead Market leads out of your bidding.

Eventective · what breaks

What goes wrong when Eventective sits behind your ads

  1. 01

"Google Ads says zero, but my Eventective inbox has new inquiries"

Submissions go straight into your Eventective Inbox, and Eventective documents no thank-you redirect or tag slot your site could fire on. Smart bidding gets no lead signal, so you keep paying for clicks it can't learn from.

  2. 02

"Every inquiry looks the same in my inbox"

Referrals from your profile, Lead Market leads you paid for, website form requests and prospects typed in by hand share one Inbox. Your own traffic is just "Website," which can't tell a Google search from an Instagram ad.

  3. 03

"My ads hear about inquiries, never about signed contracts"

The win happens when a client e-signs your agreement in Eventective and pays through your Stripe or Square connection. To Meta and Google, a 30-guest birthday quote and a 200-guest wedding look identical, so bidding chases cheap form fills.

  4. 04

"I pay for Eventective and for ads, and can't compare them"

Your subscription and Lead Credit sit in Eventective billing, ad spend sits in Google and Meta. Without cost per booked event by channel, you can't decide whether to renew your plan or raise your Google Ads budget.

Eventective · the fix

What changes — Eventective

  • Each website inquiry carries its ad click

Click ID and source saved first-party on your domain before the planner opens the Eventective form, then tied to the matching "Website" inquiry in your Inbox. Whether that tie comes from a form event your tags can see or from contact details in your export, we prove it on your account.

  • Signed agreements train your bidding

Booked-stage events go back to Google Ads and Meta with the agreement value, so campaigns learn which searches turn into weddings, galas and catered corporate lunches.

  • One cost-per-booked-event table

Google Ads, Meta, Eventective Referrals and the Lead Market side by side, with Lead Credit and payment processing fees in the math.

Eventective · architecture

What Eventective actually lets you hook into

All of this comes from Eventective's support center. We found no article on GA4, Tag Manager, Google Ads, the Meta Pixel, an API, webhooks or Zapier, so anything beyond this list gets tested on your account.

  1. 1

    Inquiry form, embedded or linked

Set up under Settings > Inquiry Form, with a link to a form hosted by Eventective. Requests land in your Inbox marked "Website." The embed isn't documented, so we test whether your tags see the submit and whether the link keeps URL parameters.

  2. 2

    Four prospect sources

Referrals, Leads, External (added by hand) and Your Website. Only the last can come from your ads.

  3. 3

    Stages

Prospect, Qualified, Tentative, Booked (agreement signed), Complete (event held, all payments in), Lost and Deleted.

  4. 4

    Reports with Excel export

Stage Summary with expected revenue, Payments, Profile Performance, Leads and Referrals, and Response Time. The export is the data route back to your ad platforms.

  5. 5

    Payments through Stripe or Square

Eventective charges 0.3% per transaction on top of the processor's 2.9% + 30¢. Offline payments are marked paid by hand.

  6. 6

    Calendar sync

Subscribers only. Google and Outlook connect directly, Apple and others through an iCal link. Useful for availability, silent on conversions.

Eventective · diagnose

Where Eventective tracking breaks, in diagnostic order

Start on your own website, because it's the only stop in the Eventective journey where your tags can run.

  1. 01

Send a test inquiry through your form from an ad-tagged URL

Then check GA4, Google Ads and Meta, and open the Inbox record it created.

  2. 02

Check where each ad actually lands

Your site, or your Eventective profile, where your tags can't fire.

  3. 03

Look for the click inside the Eventective record

We expect no click ID or UTM survives the form, and confirm it on your account.

  4. 04

Line up "Website" inquiries against ad-reported leads

One closed month, inquiry by inquiry. The gap is what your campaigns can't see.

  5. 05

Check whether any Booked event reaches Google or Meta

Nothing documented sends it, so it needs an upload from your records.

Eventective · prove

How we prove Eventective bookings are counted

Every check starts with a real inquiry sent through the Eventective form on your live site and traced into your Inbox.

Source of truth

Eventective Stage Summary and Leads and Referrals reports: each inquiry's source, stage, event date and expected revenue, plus the Payments report for deposits and balances received

  • One inquiry from an ad-tagged URL, click ID stored on your site.
  • That inquiry found in your Inbox with its source marked "Website."
  • The Booked event uploaded once each to Google Ads and Meta at the agreement value.
  • A Referral and a Lead Market lead confirmed absent from every ad conversion.
  • A Booked event moved to Lost and retracted in Google Ads.
  • The full match rerun 30 days later against a fresh Stage Summary export.

Eventective · when not to buy

When you don't need this on Eventective

Plenty of venues, caterers and DJs on Eventective have nothing here worth paying us for.

  • If you don't run ads and every booking comes from Referrals and the Lead Market, there's no spend to steer. Your Response Time report matters more.
  • If your ads point at your Eventective profile and you won't move them, there's no page of yours to measure, and we'll tell you so.
  • If you book a handful of events a year from your own site, matching "Website" inquiries to ads in a spreadsheet may be enough.
  • If ad inquiries skip Eventective and you contract and collect payments in another system, the work belongs there.

Eventective · what we deliver

The event map on Eventective

  • Ad visit stored

gclid, gbraid, wbraid, fbclid and UTMs saved in a first-party cookie on your site the moment a planner arrives.

  • Inquiry form opened

A click on your hosted-form link or the embedded form coming into view. A soft signal, never the conversion.

  • Website inquiry received

The Inbox record marked "Website," matched to the stored click. Fired live only if testing proves the embedded submit is visible; otherwise uploaded from your Eventective records.

  • Qualified and Tentative

Stage moves from your Stage Summary report; Tentative means an agreement went out.

  • Booked

The conversion: agreement signed, valued at its total, sent to Google Ads by click ID (or hashed email and phone where your site captured them at inquiry) and to Meta through the Conversions API.

  • Excluded or reversed

Referrals, Lead Market leads and hand-added prospects never count. A Booked event that moves to Lost is retracted in Google Ads; Meta can't take back a sent event, so we pull it from the Meta booking totals we report.

FAQ

Eventective questions, answered

We found no Eventective documentation for adding your own tags to a profile or the hosted inquiry form, and no GA4, API or Zapier connection. Measurement happens on your own site and from Eventective's report exports.
