Your Flodesk list grows every week. Your ads can't tell you which clicks did it.
You run Instagram and Google ads to a free pricing guide or a mini-session waitlist, Flodesk fills with new subscribers, and Meta and Google report a fraction of them. Flodesk's built-in Pixel and GA fields only cover full page forms, link-in-bio forms and checkouts on myflodesk.com, so the popup on your own website reports nothing. We track every Flodesk form, send sign-ups and Checkout sales to Google and Meta from your server, and tie them to the clients who book.

Flodesk · what breaks
What goes wrong with Flodesk and your ads
- 01
"My website popup gets sign-ups every day, and Meta sees none of them"
Flodesk documents its Pixel and Google Analytics fields for full page and link-in-bio forms only; inline and popup forms aren't supported. If most people join through that popup, your best result never reaches your ads.
- 02
"The ad sends people to my Flodesk page and the trail goes cold"
Full page forms and checkouts live on yourbrand.myflodesk.com, where Flodesk only documents fields for a Meta Pixel ID and a GA measurement ID, so your website's Tag Manager container isn't there. Flodesk has no Google Ads tag field; the documented route is importing GA4 key events, which Flodesk says take about a day to sync.
- 03
"Facebook keeps finding people who grab the freebie and never book"
Every Flodesk form fires the same Lead event, so a free wedding planning checklist counts the same as a consult request. Meta learns to find freebie collectors while your cost per real inquiry climbs.
- 04
"The cookie banner made my numbers drop"
When Flodesk's banner is on, the Pixel and GA wait until a visitor accepts, anyone whose browser sends Global Privacy Control is rejected automatically, and the banner's wording can't be edited. Meta and Google report fewer sign-ups overnight, and you can't tell a weaker ad from a quieter Pixel.
Flodesk · the fix
What changes — Flodesk
Every Flodesk form reports, counted once
Popup and inline sign-ups on your site and full page sign-ups on myflodesk.com reach Google and Meta. Flodesk's native Pixel doesn't take an event ID, so each form gets one owner, Flodesk's field or our tags, and nothing doubles up.
Google Ads gets its own conversions
Sign-ups and Checkout purchases go to Google Ads from your server, with the email hashed for Enhanced Conversions, instead of waiting a day on a GA4 import.
Ads bid on booked clients, not freebie downloads
Consult requests, and the clients a HoneyBook automation drops into a "booked" Flodesk segment, go back to Google and Meta as higher-value conversions, so a raw Lead count stops being the target.
Flodesk · architecture
What Flodesk actually lets you hook into
From Flodesk's help center and developer docs. Where Flodesk is silent, we test first.
- 1
Meta Pixel ID field
On full page forms, link-in-bio forms and checkouts, paid plans only. Fires PageView, Lead, ViewSalesPage, ViewCheckout, JoinWaitlist and Purchase in the browser. Flodesk doesn't document Conversions API, event IDs or purchase value.
- 2
Google Analytics measurement ID
Same pages, same plan rule. Sends lead, sales page, checkout, waitlist and purchase events; Flodesk's article lists two naming styles, so we check which names land in your GA4. Google Ads gets them only by importing GA4 key events.
- 3
Popup and inline form snippets
Pasted into your website's header and page. No native tracking, so we confirm on your live site how a submit can be detected.
- 4
Webhooks and API
subscriber.created, subscriber.added_to_segment and subscriber.unsubscribed, plus subscriber, segment and custom field endpoints; API keys are paid-plan only. No checkout or purchase webhook is listed.
- 5
Stripe behind Checkout
Stripe processes every Flodesk Checkout payment, so the charge record is where a server-side purchase gets its amount.
- 6
Zapier, Pabbly, HoneyBook and Dubsado
HoneyBook automations can add booked clients to Flodesk segments; Zapier can create Dubsado projects from new segment members.
Flodesk · diagnose
Where Flodesk tracking breaks, in diagnostic order
Start with the forms on your own website, because that's where Flodesk's native tracking stops.
- 01
Submit the popup from an ad-tagged URL
Then check Events Manager and Google Ads. Silence there is the most common fault.
- 02
Follow a click onto yourbrand.myflodesk.com
Confirm whether the click ID and UTMs survive the jump from your site to the Flodesk page.
- 03
Check where Google Ads conversions come from
An imported GA4 key event plus a direct tag counts each sign-up twice.
- 04
Compare Purchase events with Stripe charges
Per sale, including whether an amount arrived at all.
- 05
Review the banner and plan status
Note how many visitors decline, and remember a downgrade to free removes every Pixel and GA ID.

The QA evidence — Flodesk

Source of truth
Flodesk subscriber records by date added and segment, plus the Stripe charges behind Flodesk Checkout
- A popup, an inline form and a full page form each submitted once from an ad-tagged link.
- Exactly one Meta Lead per sign-up in Events Manager, with no form reported by both Flodesk's field and our tags.
- A sign-up recorded directly in Google Ads, not only as a GA4 import.
- A test Checkout purchase matched to its Stripe charge, amount included, then refunded and reversed.
- Subscribers and purchases matched record by record across a fully closed window.
- Repeated 30 days later and after any change to your forms, handle or plan.

Flodesk · when not to buy
When you don't need this on Flodesk
Plenty of Flodesk accounts are fine as they are.
- If you don't run paid ads and your list grows from Instagram and referrals, there's no ad platform to feed, so leave Flodesk as it is.
- If every ad points at one full page form, you only run Meta, and the native Pixel's Leads match your new subscribers, leave it alone.
- If Flodesk only nurtures and every inquiry starts in HoneyBook or your website contact form, the fix belongs there, and we'll tell you so.
- If you spend a few hundred dollars a month on boosted posts, adding Flodesk's Pixel and GA IDs on a paid plan may be all you need.
Flodesk · what we deliver
The event map on Flodesk
Opt-in submitted
Fired for each Flodesk form by name, so the free guide, the waitlist and the inquiry form report separately.
Inquiry segment joined
The qualified step, sent when a subscriber lands in a segment like "consult request" through Flodesk's segment webhook.
Checkout viewed
A leading signal from the Flodesk sales and checkout pages, never optimized on alone.
Checkout purchase
The money event, valued from the Stripe charge behind Flodesk Checkout, with refunds issued in Stripe reversed.
Client booked
Read from the Flodesk segment a HoneyBook automation fills when a client books or signs, or from your own client records, and sent back as an offline conversion.
Excluded
Waitlist joins counted as their own event, not sales; existing subscribers re-joining, unsubscribes and test addresses left out of acquisition.
Written guarantee
95%+ tracking accuracy
Measured against Flodesk subscriber records by date added and segment, plus the Stripe charges behind Flodesk Checkout. Miss it and we keep working at no cost.

FAQ
Flodesk questions, answered
Yes, on paid plans, for full page forms, link-in-bio forms and checkouts. It doesn't cover inline or popup forms, and it runs in the browser only; Flodesk doesn't document a Conversions API connection.
Not with a Google Ads tag, because Flodesk doesn't offer one. Flodesk documents marking its GA4 events as key events and importing them; a server-side build sends sign-ups to Google Ads directly.
Flodesk's Pixel and Google Analytics fields don't support popup or inline forms. Those submits need tracking on your own website, which is the first thing we fix.
Yes. With the banner on, nothing fires until a visitor accepts, and Global Privacy Control signals are rejected automatically, so those people never reach Meta or Google from the browser.
A Purchase event fires, but Flodesk doesn't say whether the amount goes with it. We check on a test sale and, on the server-side build, take the amount from the Stripe charge instead.
Downgrading to the free plan removes every Pixel and GA ID from your forms and checkouts. Changing a customized form link a second time turns the old one into a 404, so ads still pointing at it hit a dead page.
