Your Showit inbox is full of inquiries. Google Ads says you got none.
A Showit contact form thanks the visitor by sliding to the next canvas view, so the address never changes and Google Ads, Meta and GA4 have no page to count. Embed a HoneyBook or Dubsado form instead and the inquiry ends on HoneyBook's built-in thank-you message or in a new Dubsado tab, away from your tags. We give every real inquiry one clean conversion, then report signed contracts from your client records, so your ads learn from booked weddings and sessions.

Showit · what breaks
What goes wrong with tracking on Showit
- 01
"My contact form works, but Google Ads shows zero leads"
Showit's standard form slides to a thank-you canvas view on the same URL. No page loads, no conversion fires, and Smart Bidding spends your budget with zero inquiries to learn from.
- 02
"The HoneyBook form is on my site, so why can't Google see it?"
It sits in an Embed Code widget and shows HoneyBook's own thank-you message unless you set a custom URL. Dubsado's redirect opens a new tab. The click and the inquiry drift apart.
- 03
"Meta reports more inquiries than I answered"
A Pixel ID in Integrations, an older Pixel in Global Custom Code or page head code, and a blog plugin can all fire together, so Meta optimizes toward phantom leads.
- 04
"Ads bring price shoppers, not people who book"
The contract and retainer land weeks later in HoneyBook or Dubsado. If only the form fill counts, the platforms chase whoever fills forms fastest, vendor pitches included.
Showit · the fix
What changes — Showit
Each inquiry counted once
From a dedicated Showit thank-you page, with one tag owner and a shared event ID between browser and server.
Booked clients credited to the right ad
Signed contracts from your records matched to the original click and sent to Google Ads and Meta with their real value.
Budget moved by bookings, not form volume
You see which campaigns book weddings, family sessions or design projects, and which only produce inquiries that never sign.
Showit · architecture
What Showit actually lets you hook into
Showit is the design layer, WordPress runs the blog, and your booking tool holds the money.
- 1
Integrations tab
Fields for a GA4 Measurement ID, a GTM ID, a Meta Pixel ID and BDOW, plus Global Custom Code. The GTM and Pixel fields arrived in 2025.
- 2
Embed Code widget and Custom Head HTML
Showit's Google Ads guide puts conversion code in an Embed Code widget on the thank-you page, on the lowest canvas that isn't a site canvas. Page-level code goes in Custom Head HTML under Advanced Settings.
- 3
Native contact form
Submissions are emailed to you. Showit's form docs describe no webhook or CRM push, so we confirm what yours can pass.
- 4
WordPress blog at /blog
The GA field can skip blog templates; the GTM guide doesn't say whether it reaches posts, so we test one.
- 5
Conversions API only via WordPress
Documented only on the Advanced Blog plan, through PixelYourSite or Meta's plugin. Bookings still need a server path from your client records.
Showit · diagnose
Where Showit tracking breaks, in the order we check
Most faults show up on a single test inquiry sent from an ad-tagged link.
- 01
Watch the address bar on a test inquiry
If the URL stays put, the form still uses a canvas view.
- 02
Count tags on that submit
Integrations, Global Custom Code, head code, leftover widgets.
- 03
Follow the embedded form after submit
HoneyBook's default message, a custom URL, or Dubsado's new tab each need a different fix.
- 04
Look for the click ID on the inquiry record
No GCLID in HoneyBook or Dubsado means bookings have to match on the inquiry email instead.
- 05
Check a blog post
Analytics once, not missing, not doubled.
- 06
Compare signed contracts with conversions
Per client, across a closed month.
Showit · prove
The QA evidence — Showit
Run on your published site from an ad-tagged URL, never the Design App preview.
Source of truth
HoneyBook or Dubsado project records (inquiries, consultations booked, contracts signed and retainers paid, by date), plus the Showit form notification emails for inquiries that never reach a CRM
- A test inquiry reaches a real thank-you page and still lands in your inbox.
- The click ID, or at least the inquiry email, sits on the matching HoneyBook or Dubsado record.
- One Meta Lead per inquiry, deduplicated on a shared event ID.
- A signed contract reaches Google Ads and Meta with its package value.
- Each signed contract lined up against a conversion over a closed month, then rechecked 30 days later.

Showit · when not to buy
When you don't need this on Showit
Plenty of Showit sites only need a settings check.
- If you don't run ads and clients come from referrals, Instagram or wedding directories, the GA4 field is enough.
- If your form already lands on a thank-you page and one conversion fires per inquiry, deeper tracking adds little at low volume.
- If a Pixel installed twice is your only problem, delete the older copy from Global Custom Code yourself.

FAQ
Showit questions, answered
Yes. Paste your GTM ID under Site Settings, Integrations, then save and publish. Whether it also loads on your blog posts is worth testing.
The default thank-you is a canvas view on the same URL, so no conversion page loads. Showit's own guide says to link the submit button to a Thank You page and keep Submit Form checked.
Yes, once HoneyBook's custom URL or Dubsado's redirect points at a thank-you page on your site. We confirm whether your form can carry a hidden click ID; if it can't, bookings match on the inquiry email through enhanced conversions for leads.
Only on the Advanced Blog plan, through a WordPress plugin. That doesn't cover HoneyBook or Dubsado bookings, so we send those from your records through a server container.
Yes. With offline conversion import, the GCLID is saved with each inquiry and the signed contract is uploaded later, as long as it signs inside Google's import window. Enhanced conversions for leads can match on the inquiry email instead.
