RSVPifyEvents & ticketing

Conversion tracking for RSVPify events

RSVPify handles invitations, RSVPs and ticketing for galas, fundraisers, corporate events and private celebrations, and the response usually happens on an RSVPify-hosted page rather than your own site. The trap specific to RSVP software is that a decline is still a completed form, so a naive setup reports every no as a conversion. We could not confirm RSVPify's tracking options from its public documentation, so every hook below is a check, not a claim.

RSVPify · what breaks

What goes wrong on RSVPify

  1. 01

    Declines counted as conversions

A completed response form is not an attendee.

  2. 02

    Plus-ones flattened to one

A table of eight and a single guest report the same value.

  3. 03

Free RSVPs and paid tickets mixed

A gala ticket and a free open-house RSVP cannot share one target.

  4. 04

The response page is not yours

If it is hosted by RSVPify, your first-party cookies do not travel with the guest.

RSVPify · the fix

What changes — RSVPify

  • Accepted responses and paid tickets as the conversions

Declines recorded for reporting and sent nowhere.

  • Party size and ticket value on every conversion

So ad platforms see the difference between one seat and a table.

  • Check-in as the attendance signal

Where RSVPify's guest data shows who actually arrived.

RSVPify · architecture

What RSVPify actually lets you do

RSVPify's help center was not reachable when we checked, so each item here is something to confirm on your account first.

  1. 1

Check whether the RSVP page can use your own domain or embed on your site

That decides whether first-party cookies are present at the moment of response.

  2. 2

Check whether RSVPify has tracking pixel or analytics fields per event

If it does, test whether they can tell an accept from a decline.

  3. 3

Check whether a response can redirect to a page you control

A confirmation page on your domain is the cleanest browser trigger.

  4. 4

Check whether Zapier, webhooks or an API are on your plan

The server-side route for accepted guests and ticket orders.

  5. 5

Check what the guest list export contains

Response status, party size, ticket type and check-in are what reconciliation needs.

RSVPify · diagnose

Where RSVPify tracking breaks, in diagnostic order

Event tracking fails in a short list of predictable ways; check them in this order.

  1. 01

Submit a test decline and see what fires

If a conversion fires, every no is being counted as a yes.

  2. 02

Submit an acceptance with guests added

Check the conversion carries the party size, not a flat one.

  3. 03

Compare ticket revenue with reported purchase value

Fees, comps and discount codes are where the gap usually hides.

  4. 04

Check whether the ad click survives to the response

On a vendor-hosted page it often does not.

  5. 05

Compare accepted guests with checked-in guests

Attendance by campaign is the number organizers actually care about.

RSVPify · prove

The QA evidence — RSVPify

Run on a live RSVPify event with real test responses, not a preview of the invitation.

Source of truth

The RSVPify guest list and ticket sales for the event, by response status

  • An accepted RSVP with guests confirmed reaching each platform with the correct party size.
  • A declined RSVP confirmed to send nothing.
  • A paid ticket order confirmed at the right quantity and value.
  • Accepted guests and ticket revenue reconciled per response over the closed event.
  • A refund or withdrawn RSVP confirmed to reverse.
  • Check-in matched to acceptances where the data exists.
  • Re-checked on the next event, since each event is configured separately.

RSVPify · when not to buy

When you don't need this on RSVPify

A lot of RSVPify events are invitation-only, and tracking adds nothing there.

  • If guests arrive by personal invitation email rather than paid ads, there is no campaign to attribute.
  • If you run one event a year with a modest promotion budget, a tracked link per channel and the guest list export may tell you enough.
  • If ticket money is taken somewhere other than RSVPify, reconcile against that system instead.
  • If RSVPify turns out to offer a working pixel field that separates accepts from declines on your plan, a careful setup of that may be all you need.

FAQ

RSVPify questions, answered

Because to most tags a decline is a completed form. Unless the setup reads the response status, every no is reported as a win and the algorithm hunts for more of them.
