Protractor shows which cars paid. Your Google and Meta ads can't.
Your Online Service Scheduler drops appointments straight into Protractor, the phones ring, and the bays stay busy. What nobody can show you is which Google or Meta ad brought in the transmission rebuild and which one brought a cheap inspection. We connect Protractor bookings, calls and paid invoices back to each ad click, then check the totals against Protractor's own sales reports so you know which campaigns to feed and which to cut.

Protractor · what breaks
What goes wrong with Protractor and your ads
- 01
"Google Ads shows a pile of conversions, but my bays don't look like it"
The ad account is usually counting call-button taps or visits to the booking page. Protractor holds the real appointments, the two never agree, and you keep paying for clicks that never became a work order without knowing which campaign to cut.
- 02
The scheduler booking never reports back
Protractor's scheduler puts the appointment straight into your calendar, but nothing Protractor documents sends that booking to Google Ads or the Meta Pixel. Your campaigns learn from page views instead of booked cars, and budget drifts toward whoever clicks most.
- 03
An oil change and an engine job count the same
Without the invoice total, Google Ads and Meta treat a quick lube and an approved engine repair as equal wins. Bidding chases the cheap appointments because there are more of them, and your high-ticket bays sit open.
- 04
Reminders and regulars get counted as new customers
Protractor's Marketing CRM sends automated service reminders and "miss you" messages, and many shops add Steer on top. When those regulars book online and count as ad conversions, your return on ad spend looks better than it is and money goes to campaigns that aren't finding anyone new.
Protractor · the fix
What changes once it's fixed — Protractor
You see which ads fill bays
Each paid Protractor invoice traces back to the campaign, ad group or Meta ad behind the first booking or call.
Bidding learns from revenue
Google Ads and Meta get the repair order total, so value-based bidding can favor brake, transmission and AC jobs over coupon hunters.
New customers kept separate from regulars
Reminder-driven and returning-vehicle visits are flagged, so ad results show only first-time customers.
Protractor · architecture
What Protractor actually lets you hook into
Protractor's public site documents its scheduler, payments, reporting and a long partner list. We found no public API, webhook or ad-tag documentation, so anything beyond that gets confirmed on your account.
- 1
Online Service Scheduler
A 24/7 booking widget that works on any device and drops the appointment into Protractor with an automatic confirmation email. Whether it's embedded on your site or linked out is the first thing we check.
- 2
Partner schedulers and call tools
AutoOps (online scheduling), Podium (an AI assistant that books appointments) and GuestX (ties calls to appointments) are listed Protractor partners. We check whether each one can carry the click ID onto the booking.
- 3
Digital Marketing Suite
Protractor sells websites, Google Ads management (click budget not included), call tracking and a Marketing ROI Dashboard that tracks calls, form submissions and customer revenue. If you use it, we check what it already reports before adding anything.
- 4
Sales reports and invoices
Over 150 report types, including sales summaries. We confirm which export carries invoice totals and dates for an offline conversion upload.
- 5
No documented ad-platform connection
We found no documented way to send Protractor bookings or invoices to Google Ads, GA4, the Meta Pixel or the Conversions API, so paid jobs go back through your own server container.
Protractor · diagnose
Where Protractor tracking breaks, in the order we check
Most shops on Protractor aren't missing tags; they're counting the wrong thing.
- 01
What your Google Ads conversion actually is
Often a booking-page view or a call click, not a booked car.
- 02
Whether the click ID survives the scheduler
Book a test appointment from an ad-tagged link and open the record in Protractor.
- 03
How many tools claim the same booking
The Digital Marketing Suite's call tracking, a partner scheduler and a Pixel you added yourself may each be counting one appointment.
- 04
Whether invoice totals ever reach the ad platforms
Usually they don't, so value-based bidding has nothing to work with.
- 05
Whether reminder bookings are separated
Steer or CRM-driven returns mixed into acquisition inflate your return on ad spend.
Protractor · prove
The QA evidence — Protractor
Done with a real appointment booked through your shop's website and followed all the way to a paid Protractor invoice, never a sandbox.
Source of truth
Protractor appointments, work orders and paid invoices by date, with invoice totals and customer history
- A test booking from an ad-tagged URL, with the click ID confirmed on the Protractor record.
- Exactly one booking conversion in Google Ads and Meta, sharing an event ID.
- A paid invoice sent back with its real total and matched to the original click.
- A no-show confirmed absent from paid conversions.
- A reminder-driven repeat visit confirmed excluded from acquisition.
- Paid repair orders reconciled ticket by ticket over a closed month.
- Rechecked 30 days later and after any scheduler or website change.

Protractor · when not to buy
When you don't need this on Protractor
Some shops get more from a quick settings review than a rebuild.
- If you don't run paid ads and nearly all your work comes from repeat customers and Steer reminders, retention reporting matters more than ad attribution.
- If you already buy Protractor's Digital Marketing Suite and its ROI dashboard reconciles with your invoices, keep it and spend on ads instead.
- If your ads only run on Google Local Services, you get billed per lead and the conversion question is different.
- If the fault is just a stray tag on the page that links to your Protractor scheduler, it's a quick fix, and we'll point you to it on the call.

FAQ
Protractor questions, answered
Not for conversions, as far as Protractor documents publicly. Its Digital Marketing Suite can manage your Google Ads, but nothing on its site describes sending scheduler bookings or paid invoices to Google Ads, GA4 or the Meta Pixel, so those go back from your own server container.
Only if the ad click ID is captured on your site and tied to the booking. We test it with a real appointment from an ad link and confirm the ID on the Protractor record.
Yes. Google Ads accepts offline conversion imports keyed on the GCLID, and Meta's Conversions API accepts offline events, so a paid Protractor repair order can go back with its real value.
Both are listed Protractor partners. They add a second booking path, so we make sure only one tool reports each appointment and the click ID still reaches the record.
Usually a booking-page view or button click counted as a conversion, plus regulars returning through reminders. Counting paid invoices from new customers fixes both.
If you spend real money on Google or Meta ads every month, yes. If your ads are only Local Services or your work is all repeat customers, we'll tell you on the call that you don't need it.
