Liine shows which ads book patients. Your ad accounts still bid on calls.
You added Liine so Google Ads would chase booked consults instead of phone rings, yet the account still counts form fills, calls and bookings side by side, and Meta reports far fewer bookings than your front desk sees. The usual causes: an older conversion action still sharing the primary slot, the number swap missing from some location pages, or Meta restricting events it reads as health data. We make Liine's booking the one signal each platform optimizes to, with no patient details sent to the ad platforms.

Liine · what breaks
What goes wrong with Liine
- 01
Google Ads counts the same patient three times
The old website form goal, Google's call conversion and Liine's booking all sit as primary. A LASIK patient who fills the form, calls and then books can be counted three times, so your cost per booking looks better than it is and Smart Bidding spends more on clicks that never become consults.
- 02
Some locations never get a tracking number
Liine ties calls to ad clicks with dynamic number insertion. When the swap doesn't run on a new location page or a page built in a separate landing page tool, those calls show up with no ad source and that clinic's campaigns look like they book nothing.
- 03
Meta shows a fraction of your bookings
Meta has rules on health information it receives. If event names or page URLs mention a procedure, events can be restricted or blocked, and your Meta budget ends up optimizing on a handful of signals instead of real bookings.
- 04
Bookings from widgets Liine doesn't read
Liine lists 20+ online scheduling integrations, NexHealth, Zocdoc and Luma Health among them. A scheduler outside that list books patients your ads never get credit for, so the campaigns that fill it look like they're failing.
Liine · the fix
What changes after the fix — Liine
One booking, one conversion
Liine's booked appointment is the primary goal in Google Ads and Microsoft Ads and the optimization event in Meta. Calls and form fills stay secondary, so bidding stops paying for duplicates.
Every location reports its own ad source
Number swap confirmed on each clinic page, and every scheduler your practice uses either flows through Liine or is tracked separately.
Meta gets signals it will accept
Neutral event names, trimmed URLs and server-side sending from a first-party container, so procedure details stay out of what Meta receives.
Liine · architecture
What Liine actually lets you hook into
We work from Liine's published product and integrations pages. Anything beyond what's listed here gets confirmed with your Liine account rep before we rely on it.
- 1
Dynamic number insertion
Liine's DNI ties each call to the web session, including paid clicks. Coverage across your pages is what we test.
- 2
Native Google Ads, Meta and Microsoft Ads connections
Liine sends booked appointments back as offline conversions with anonymized click IDs and conversion event names, and says no PHI is shared. We confirm which event names, values and locations each connection carries.
- 3
Scheduling and practice software sync
20+ online scheduling platforms and 60+ EHR/PMS systems, including ModMed, athenahealth, eCW and AdvancedMD, for bookings, show rates and production.
- 4
Forms and marketing tools
HIPAA webforms, plus listed connections to JotForm, Gravity Forms, HighLevel, Keap and Google Analytics. Whether the analytics link means GA4 events is something we check.
- 5
No documented public API or Zapier
Liine's integrations page doesn't list a public API, webhooks or Zapier, so custom sending runs through our server container, not Liine.
Liine · diagnose
Where Liine tracking breaks, in diagnostic order
Start with duplicate goals, because a practice that added Liine on top of an older setup usually overcounts in Google before it undercounts anywhere.
- 01
Count primary conversion actions in Google Ads
Liine's booking, the website form and call extensions are the usual trio.
- 02
Place a test call from each location page
From an ad-tagged URL, then confirm Liine logs the right campaign.
- 03
Read Meta Events Manager diagnostics
Look for restricted, blocked or deactivated events and parameters Meta reads as health information.
- 04
List every booking path on the site
Any scheduler outside Liine's integrations is an untracked booking.
- 05
Check browser tags on appointment pages
A Meta Pixel or GA4 tag reading full URLs or form fields can expose procedure details.
Liine · prove
The QA evidence — Liine
Each check uses a real test call and booking through your live site and Liine number, one clinic at a time.
Source of truth
Your practice software's new patient appointments by location, matched against Liine's booked-appointment records
- One test call and one test booking from an ad-tagged URL per location, with the click ID confirmed in Liine.
- Exactly one primary booking conversion in Google Ads and Microsoft Ads per appointment.
- Meta booking events confirmed received and not blocked in Events Manager.
- No procedure names, diagnoses or form contents in any URL or parameter sent to an ad platform.
- Existing-patient calls confirmed absent from the conversion.
- New patient bookings from your practice software lined up one to one with ad platform conversions over a closed month.
- Rechecked a month on, and again whenever a clinic opens or a new scheduler is added.

Liine · when not to buy
When you don't need this on Liine
Plenty of practices running Liine are already in good shape.
- If Liine's booking is already your only primary goal and Google Ads bookings line up with your schedule, leave it alone.
- If you run Google Ads only and every booking flows through a scheduler Liine reads, the native connection may be enough.
- If most new patients come from referrals or insurance directories, ad attribution won't change much for you.
- If the only issue is an old form goal still set to primary, switching it to secondary takes minutes and you can do it yourself.
Liine · what we deliver
The event map on Liine
Ad click captured
The paid click tied to the visit through Liine's session-level attribution, with the GCLID confirmed on the record and Meta and Microsoft clicks checked the same way.
New patient lead
A call, HIPAA webform or online booking request that Liine classifies as a new patient. Existing patients rescheduling are excluded.
Speed-to-lead follow-up
Liine's auto-call to web form leads kept as reporting only, never sent as a conversion.
Appointment booked
The primary conversion in each ad platform, sent once with the anonymized click ID and a neutral event name.
Patient showed
Liine tracks show rates through its EHR/PMS connections. We confirm whether a show event can reach your ad accounts, so value follows consults that happened, not ones that cancelled.
Production value
Production from your practice software attached as a value only, through Liine if it supports it or our server container if not, with no procedure or diagnosis attached.
Written guarantee
95%+ tracking accuracy
Measured against Your practice software's new patient appointments by location, matched against Liine's booked-appointment records. Miss it and we keep working at no cost.

FAQ
Liine questions, answered
Yes, Liine documents sending booked appointments to Google Ads, Meta and Microsoft Ads. The problem is usually what else is still counted next to it, and which calls and bookings never reach Liine in the first place.
Often because Meta restricts data it treats as health information, and events or parameters that name a procedure can be blocked. Procedure names in URLs or event names are what we look for first in Events Manager diagnostics.
Liine says it sends only anonymized click IDs and conversion event names, with no patient health information. We check the rest of your site, because a browser Pixel on an appointment page can still leak details Liine never touches.
Not with your own lists. Google treats health as a sensitive interest category, where Customer Match and your data segments (remarketing) aren't supported, which makes a clean booking signal the main thing your bidding can learn from.
Yes, if the number swap runs on every location page and each clinic's bookings map to the right campaigns. New locations are where this most often breaks, so we test each one.
