Conversion tracking for Trafft bookings
Trafft gives small service businesses two ways to take bookings: a form embedded on your existing site, including through its WordPress plugin, or a whole booking website Trafft builds for you. Those two surfaces need different tracking, and plenty of businesses run both without realizing their ads only see one. Trafft's homepage lists Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Meta Pixel among the tools it works with, but how each one fires and what it sends is not documented in detail, so every claim is tested on a real booking.

Trafft · what breaks
Where Trafft bookings slip through
- 01
Two booking surfaces, one set of tags
Ads point to the Trafft booking site while your tags live on the WordPress page with the embedded form, or the other way round.
- 02
Deposits on some bookings, none on others
Depending on plan and settings, some bookings take a deposit and some pay at the appointment; one flat value misreports both.
- 03
Staff and services averaged together
A quick service with a junior employee and a two-hour session with the owner carry the same conversion.
- 04
Integrations assumed rather than tested
A listed analytics or pixel integration says nothing about whether it sends a booking with its value.
Trafft · the fix
What changes — Trafft
Both surfaces measured
Each booking attributed whether it came through the embed or the Trafft site.
Real booking value
Service price, with the deposit reported separately when one is taken.
Completed appointments as the conversion
Sent from Trafft data, so cancellations and no-shows come off.
Trafft · architecture
What Trafft actually lets you do
Trafft's homepage confirms these integrations exist. How they behave is what the build has to establish.
- 1
Embedded form or Trafft booking website
Confirmed: an embed on any page, a WordPress plugin, or a booking site Trafft builds for you.
- 2
Google Analytics, GTM and Meta Pixel listed
Confirmed as listed integrations. Check what event fires on a completed booking and whether the price comes with it.
- 3
Zapier
Listed as an integration. Check whether it can push completed or cancelled appointments to a server-side endpoint.
- 4
Payments and deposits
Card payments through Square, more gateways and deposits on higher plans. Check which applies to your account.
- 5
Check whether URL parameters survive into the booking
Needed to carry the click ID onto the appointment for offline matching.
Trafft · diagnose
Diagnosing a Trafft setup
Most Trafft accounts have more than one way in; these checks find the one that is leaking.
- 01
Book through the embedded form, then through the booking site
Compare what each platform recorded for the two.
- 02
Check which surface your ads point to
It is often not the one with tags on it.
- 03
Check whether a value arrives with the conversion
A listed integration can send the event without a price.
- 04
Compare bookings with completed appointments
Campaign by campaign, using a month that has fully closed.
- 05
Check for double counting
Trafft's own pixel integration and a GTM tag can both fire on one booking.

Source of truth
Trafft's appointment records — completed appointments by date, with service, employee and price
- A booking made through each surface in use, with the event confirmed in each platform.
- Service price confirmed on the conversion, and deposit amounts confirmed where taken.
- Duplicate firing between Trafft's integration and any GTM tag ruled out.
- Completed appointments reconciled per booking against each platform.
- A cancelled Trafft appointment confirmed to come off the count.
- Staff-entered bookings confirmed excluded from ad conversions.
- Checked again 30 days later and after any change to the Trafft booking site.

Trafft · when not to buy
When a Trafft business doesn't need this
Trafft is often run by one-person businesses, and many of them need very little.
- If you use one booking surface, Trafft's own GA or pixel option sends a booking with its price on test, and you run one campaign, keep it.
- If most clients rebook directly with you after the first visit, retention matters more than ad attribution.
- If you take no deposits and spend little on ads, a clean booking event is the whole job.
- This is a modest build; a competent developer can do it from this page, and we will say so on the call.

FAQ
Trafft questions, answered
Its homepage lists both, plus Google Tag Manager. What they send on a completed booking is what we test, because a listed integration is not proof of a usable conversion.
Either can work, but tracking has to be set up on whichever one the ads use. Mixing the two without that is the most common Trafft gap.
Yes, if the booking event carries it, or by sending completed appointments from Trafft data on the server. A flat value ranks cheap services alongside expensive ones.
It puts the booking form on your WordPress pages, close to your existing tags. The event still needs testing on a real booking.
They give a paid signal at booking time, but the full service value usually arrives later. Each is sent as what it is.
