NiceJob shows the leads. Your ads can't see which ones they paid for.
NiceJob's dashboard says the website brought in leads and calls, but Google Ads and Meta can't say which campaigns produced them. The Collect Leads pop-up files requests under People > Leads, every caller rings one website number, and NiceJob's documented Google Ads route imports an Analytics goal, a feature that stopped recording when Universal Analytics shut down in 2023. We tie each lead to its click, then send back the jobs Jobber or Housecall Pro marks closed and paid.

NiceJob · what breaks
What goes wrong with NiceJob and your ads
- 01
Google Ads may be bidding on a goal that stopped counting
NiceJob's help center says to import an Analytics goal named "Leads" into Google Ads. Goals belonged to Universal Analytics, which stopped processing on July 1, 2023, so if your lead conversion still points at that goal, it hasn't recorded a lead since and Smart Bidding has nothing real to learn from.
- 02
Every call rings the same number, so no ad gets credit
NiceJob's call tracking gives your website a single number, and Insights only shows a source for web form leads, not calls. When the phone brings most of your jobs, a Google Ads caller looks the same as a Maps caller, and you can't cut the campaigns that never ring.
- 03
The lead pop-up books a quote and Meta never hears about it
The Collect Leads widget files the request under People > Leads and sends you a text and email alert, but NiceJob documents no Pixel event, thank-you page or click-ID field for it. Unless someone built that tracking by hand, Meta has no lead to optimize toward and keeps buying cheap clicks.
- 04
Jobs and invoices stay in your field software
NiceJob reads closed jobs and invoices from Jobber, and jobs from Housecall Pro, to trigger review invites. Google and Meta never learn which leads became paid work, so a whole-house duct cleaning and a tire-kicker look identical to your bidding.
NiceJob · the fix
What changes after we fix it — NiceJob
Each Collect Leads request counted once, with its click
The click ID is captured first-party on the page holding the nj-lead button and sent server-side with the submission, under one event ID for browser and server.
Calls credited to the campaign that rang the phone
Source-level numbers forward into your NiceJob number, as NiceJob's call-tracking article describes, so the NiceJob call log keeps working.
Bidding learns from booked and paid jobs
Closed jobs and paid invoices from Jobber or Housecall Pro return to Google Ads and Meta as offline conversions with real value.
NiceJob · architecture
What NiceJob actually lets you hook into
NiceJob is a reviews and referral platform with lead capture attached. These hooks come from its own help center; anything else, we test.
- 1
Collect Leads widget
A head snippet plus the nj-lead class on any button opens the pop-up, with five custom field types. Confirm the form renders in your page so a submit listener can read it.
- 2
Custom Link on the lead button
An external booking URL that replaces the pop-up. When it's on, tracking belongs on that scheduler.
- 3
Analytics goal and Google Ads import (NiceJob websites)
A "Leads" event category with "Receive lead" and "Receive call" actions, a "Leads" goal and an AdWords import, with Analytics access granted by NiceJob on request. Goals are a Universal Analytics feature, so we confirm whether a GA4 key event replaced it.
- 4
Call tracking and forwarding
One website number, optional recording, calls logged in the app. A third-party number can forward into it.
- 5
CRM connections and Zapier
Jobber sends jobs, invoices and payments, and NiceJob website leads reach Jobber's lead form. Zapier triggers on Person and Review changes. No Pixel, Conversions API or offline-conversion feature is documented.
NiceJob · diagnose
Where NiceJob tracking breaks, in diagnostic order
Start inside Google Ads, because the commonest NiceJob fault is a lead conversion still tied to an Analytics goal that no longer records.
- 01
Open the source of your Google Ads lead conversion
A "Leads" goal from a Universal Analytics property means no bidding signal since mid-2023.
- 02
Submit one Collect Leads request from an ad-tagged URL
See whether Meta or Google registers it and whether the click ID reaches the lead or Jobber.
- 03
Call the site number after an ad click
On NiceJob's single number, nothing links that call to the campaign.
- 04
Count tags on the page
NiceJob's Analytics, your own Tag Manager and any Pixel added later can double up.
- 05
Compare leads with closed jobs
People > Leads against completed jobs for the same week shows how much paid work the ads never see.

Source of truth
NiceJob People > Leads and the NiceJob call log, matched to completed jobs and paid invoices in your connected Jobber or Housecall Pro account
- One Collect Leads submission from an ad-tagged URL, click ID confirmed against the lead.
- Exactly one Meta Lead event per submission, sharing an event ID across Pixel and server.
- One test call per source number, credited correctly and still logged in NiceJob.
- A closed Jobber or Housecall Pro job arriving in Google Ads with its value.
- Review-invite and referral clicks absent from every lead conversion.
- Reconciled record by record across a closed window, then again 30 days later.

NiceJob · when not to buy
When you don't need this on NiceJob
Plenty of NiceJob accounts don't need us at all.
- If you use NiceJob only for review invites and referrals and run no paid ads, there's nothing to attribute.
- If Custom Link sends your lead button to an outside scheduler, the fix lives on that scheduler, and we'll say so.
- If your ads land on a page that never loads the NiceJob widget, NiceJob isn't in the conversion path.
- If a GA4 key event already counts Collect Leads submissions and matches People > Leads weekly, keep it.

FAQ
NiceJob questions, answered
Its help center describes importing an Analytics goal named "Leads" into Google Ads. Goals stopped recording when Universal Analytics shut down on July 1, 2023, so check what your lead conversion is imported from before trusting it.
No. NiceJob gives your website one number and recommends a third-party tool like CallRail when you need each call's source; that number can forward into NiceJob.
NiceJob doesn't document a Pixel setting for the Collect Leads widget. We confirm what fires on a test submission, then send the lead event server-side from your container.
Not as a documented feature. NiceJob reads jobs and invoices from Jobber to trigger review invites; we use those same records to send offline conversions with real job value.
They shouldn't. Those are past customers answering NiceJob campaigns, and counting them teaches your campaigns to chase people who already hired you.
No. It displays recent reviews and bookings from a connected CRM as social proof and isn't a lead form, so we keep it out of conversions.
