Conversion tracking for Moxie's meeting scheduler
Moxie is where freelancers and small studios keep the whole client lifecycle: the scheduler books the discovery call, and the proposal, contract and invoice that follow live in the same workspace. Most setups waste that — ads get optimized on calls booked, while the record showing whether a call became paid work sits two steps further down Moxie's pipeline. The scheduler runs on Moxie-hosted links, so whether your pixel ever sees a completed booking depends on how you embed it and where it sends people afterward.

Moxie · what breaks
Where Moxie bookings go missing
- 01
One scheduler link posted everywhere
The same Moxie link sits in your email signature, Instagram bio and ad landing page, so a booked call carries no clue which one sent it.
- 02
Calls counted as the win
Some discovery calls close and many don't; optimizing on bookings teaches Meta to find people who enjoy free calls.
- 03
The proposal stage is invisible to ads
Moxie knows a proposal was accepted. Your ad accounts never hear about it.
- 04
Form submissions and bookings blurred
Moxie forms and the scheduler can sit on the same page, and a generic lead tag fires for both.
Moxie · the fix
What changes — Moxie
Paid work as the conversion that matters
First invoice paid in Moxie, sent with its amount, with the discovery call kept as a secondary signal.
One source per booking
Link placements tagged so ad-driven calls are separated from signature and referral bookings.
Forms and meetings counted separately
An inquiry form and a booked call reported as two different events.
Moxie · architecture
What Moxie actually lets you do
Moxie's tracking hooks are thinly documented, so most of this is a list of things to confirm before anything is built.
- 1
Hosted scheduling links
Confirmed: meetings book on Moxie-hosted scheduler pages, which can also be embedded on your site next to Moxie forms.
- 2
Check the embedded redirect
Moxie's help center has an article on embedded form and scheduler redirects. Read it, then test whether a completed booking can land on a page you control.
- 3
Check whether a pixel or GA tag can run on the scheduler
Not confirmed. Assume your tags do not see the booking until a test proves otherwise.
- 4
Check whether URL parameters reach the meeting record
If a scheduler field can be prefilled, that is how a click ID would get into Moxie.
- 5
Check how paid invoices can leave Moxie
Export, automation or API — confirm which route your account supports, because the paid invoice is what gets matched back to the click.
Moxie · diagnose
Diagnosing a Moxie setup, cheapest check first
Most freelancers find the problem in the first two checks; the rest separate a tracking fault from a sales one.
- 01
Book a test call through the embedded scheduler
Watch whether anything fires on your own domain when it completes. If nothing does, there is no browser conversion to fix yet.
- 02
List where the scheduler link is posted
Count bookings by placement. Direct links usually outnumber embeds.
- 03
Separate form submissions from meetings
If one tag fires for both, every number built on it is inflated.
- 04
Follow ten booked calls to the invoice
Which became paid work, and which campaign each came from.
- 05
Check for existing clients booking new projects
A past client using the link again is not acquisition.

Source of truth
Moxie's client records — meetings booked and invoices paid, per client, by date
- A test call booked through the embedded scheduler, with the redirect and event confirmed on your own domain.
- The click identifier confirmed on the resulting Moxie record, or the gap documented if Moxie cannot hold it.
- Inquiry forms and booked calls shown as separate events in each ad platform.
- Paid invoices matched one by one to the clients who booked from ads.
- A cancelled meeting confirmed to drop out of the call count.
- Repeat-client projects confirmed excluded from acquisition.
- Rechecked 30 days after handover against Moxie's invoice list.

Moxie · when not to buy
When a Moxie user doesn't need this
Plenty of Moxie accounts are better served by a spreadsheet and one question on the booking form.
- If clients come from referrals and you spend nothing on ads, ask how they heard about you in the scheduler and stop there.
- If you book a handful of calls a month, the volume is too low for ad platforms to learn from, whatever you send them.
- If your income is retainers from the same few clients, track renewals inside Moxie rather than acquisition.
- If Moxie's embedded redirect works on test and you run a single campaign, a tag on the thank-you page may be all you need.

FAQ
Moxie questions, answered
We have not confirmed that it can run your tags directly. The route we test first is the embedded scheduler redirecting to your own page, where your tags already run.
Only as a secondary signal. For a freelancer or studio, the conversion that pays is the first invoice, and Moxie already records it.
As an offline conversion matched on the click identifier or a hashed email, sent from a server container rather than the browser. Which export route Moxie supports for you is settled during the build.
They are real bookings but not ad conversions. A separate link or parameter per placement keeps them out of campaign reporting.
Often not. If ad spend is small, the free diagnosis will usually say so.
