Get your Mighty Networks tracking to 95%+ accuracy guaranteed in writing.
Mighty Networks combines community + course + membership in one platform — powering the biggest creator-led businesses online. But the default integration is browser-only and skips most key events. iOS members vanish, recurring monthly subscriptions don't fire as conversions, and event RSVPs never reach Meta. We rebuild Mighty tracking server-side so every signup, every renewal, every event registration counts.

Mighty Networks · architecture
How a Mighty Networks order should reach the ad platforms
Mighty Networks is a community platform first, which means most of what happens there is engagement rather than transactions — and the tracking has to be honest about which is which.
- 1
Click identifiers captured at first touch
Click IDs are captured on whatever page precedes the network — usually your own landing page — and stored in a first-party cookie, because the network itself is a closed environment.
- 2
The browser sends the fast, fragile copy
Script access inside a Mighty Network is limited. Most reliable tracking happens on the pages you control before the join, and through the platform's own records after it.
- 3
The order itself is the source of truth
The Mighty Networks paid membership record, and its renewals, is the truth. Free community joins are a different event entirely.
- 4
A server container sends the authoritative event
Where the platform's integrations allow it, membership events are posted to a GTM server container on your own subdomain. Where they do not, we say so rather than promising attribution that cannot exist.
- 5
Customer identity raises match quality
Member email is the identity field available, hashed server-side.
Mighty Networks · events
The event set we build on Mighty Networks, and where each one comes from
Free join and paid membership are the two events that matter. Everything else on a community platform is engagement, which is worth measuring and worth keeping out of bidding.
| Event | Fires when, on Mighty Networks | Key parameters | Sent from |
|---|---|---|---|
| view_item | Your own landing page for the community renders | item_id, value, currency, event_id | Browser + server, deduped |
| sign_up | A free community join completes — reporting only | hashed email, event_id | Server preferred |
| membership_started | A paid membership's first charge succeeds | plan, value, currency, hashed email, event_id | Server authoritative |
| subscription_renewed | A membership renews | value, currency, plan | Server only |
| subscription_canceled | A membership lapses | hashed email, plan | Server only |
Mighty Networks · normal or broken
Community-platform limits — Mighty Networks
The closed nature of the platform sets a real ceiling, and pretending otherwise wastes budget.
Normal, not a fault
Limited script access inside the network
A platform design decision, not something a build can route around.
High engagement with low transaction volume
That is what a community is. Engagement metrics should not be bidding targets.
Ad platforms report more conversions than you have orders
Meta credits a 7-day click and 1-day view; Google credits on click date. Two platforms can each claim the same sale. Compare each one to your order records separately and never add them together.
Recent days always look worse than they finish
Conversions are credited back to the date of the click, so yesterday's return on ad spend is understated and will keep improving for several days. This is attribution working, not data arriving late.
Actually broken
Free joins counted as paid conversions
Bidding optimizes toward people joining a free community.
Click IDs never captured before the join
Nothing is attributable once the visitor is inside the network.
Renewals and lapses never reported
Reported member value stays inflated indefinitely.

How we prove the Mighty Networks build is correct
The tag firing proves the tag fires. These prove the numbers are right.
Source of truth
Mighty Networks membership and payment records
- Free and paid joins confirmed separated.
- Click IDs confirmed captured on the page preceding the network.
- Renewals and lapses reporting where the platform permits it, and the limits documented where it does not.
- Purchase count within a few percent of mighty networks membership and payment records for a fully closed week, matched on order ID rather than on totals.
- No order ID appearing twice in any platform's event log.
- Deduplication confirmed at every destination that supports it.
- Test and staff orders excluded, with the exclusion confirmed active rather than merely configured.
- The same reconciliation repeated 30 days later, because a setup that works once and then drifts is the harder failure to catch.

Mighty Networks · when not to buy
When a Mighty Networks rebuild is not what you need
We would rather say this now than three weeks into an engagement.
- Your community is free. There is no revenue event to optimize toward.
- You grow entirely through referral and existing audience.
- Low paid spend.
