Get your Carrd tracking to 95%+ accuracy guaranteed in writing.
Carrd powers tens of thousands of solopreneur landing pages, portfolios, link-in-bio pages, and lead-gen forms. The default tracking is Pixel + GA in a code block — browser-only, no CAPI, no iOS recovery. Every form submission lost to iOS = lost lead. We rebuild Carrd tracking server-side via 1st-party server-side GTM (form gateway) so every form submit becomes a deduped Lead event.

Carrd · what breaks
Carrd tracking gaps
- 01
Form fires browser-only
iOS form submits vanish before Meta sees them.
- 02
Carrd Pro form-to-Mailchimp/etc. breaks attribution
Form data flows to email tool but not back to Meta as conversion.
- 03
No CRM offline import
Lead → MQL → Customer path never feeds back to ad platforms.
- 04
Embedded forms break dedup
Carrd embeds in another page can fire duplicate or missing events.

Carrd · architecture
How a Carrd order should reach the ad platforms
Carrd is a one-page site builder. The tracking ceiling is low by design, and the useful work is making the one conversion it does have count correctly.
- 1
Click identifiers captured at first touch
Click IDs are captured at landing and written to a first-party cookie, then into hidden form fields.
- 2
The browser sends the fast, fragile copy
Carrd allows embed code on Pro plans, which is where the events fire. There is no multi-page funnel to instrument.
- 3
The order itself is the source of truth
The record in whatever handles the form or payment — your email platform, a form service, or Stripe — is the truth. Carrd itself does not hold it.
- 4
A server container sends the authoritative event
The form handler's or processor's webhook posts to a GTM server container on your own subdomain, keyed on a submission or payment ID.
- 5
Customer identity raises match quality
Submitted email is hashed server-side.
Carrd · events
The event set we build on Carrd, and where each one comes from
One page, one or two events. Anything more elaborate would be describing capability Carrd does not have.
| Event | Fires when, on Carrd | Key parameters | Sent from |
|---|---|---|---|
| generate_lead | The form's success state is reached | hashed email/phone, click IDs, event_id | Server preferred |
| purchase | A payment succeeds in the connected processor | order_id, value, currency, items[], hashed email/phone/name/address, event_id | Server authoritative |
Carrd · normal or broken
What Carrd can do
This is a deliberately simple platform and the honest advice is usually to keep the tracking simple too.
Normal, not a fault
No funnel to measure
One page means one step. There is nothing missing.
Embed code requiring a Pro plan
A platform limitation, not a configuration error.
Ad platforms report more conversions than you have orders
Meta credits a 7-day click and 1-day view; Google credits on click date. Two platforms can each claim the same sale. Compare each one to your order records separately and never add them together.
Recent days always look worse than they finish
Conversions are credited back to the date of the click, so yesterday's return on ad spend is understated and will keep improving for several days. This is attribution working, not data arriving late.
Actually broken
Conversion counted on a success section that shows without a real submit
Anyone who triggers the state is counted.
Click IDs never reaching the form handler
Nothing attributable.
Tracking on the free plan where embeds are unavailable
Nothing fires at all, and this is easy to miss.
Carrd · prove
How we prove the Carrd build is correct
The tag firing proves the tag fires. These prove the numbers are right.
Source of truth
Your form handler's or payment processor's records
- The conversion confirmed firing only on a genuine successful submission.
- Click IDs confirmed present on the form handler's record.
- Embed code confirmed active on the plan in use.
- Purchase count within a few percent of your form handler's or payment processor's records for a fully closed week, matched on order ID rather than on totals.
- No order ID appearing twice in any platform's event log.
- Deduplication confirmed at every destination that supports it.
- Test and staff orders excluded, with the exclusion confirmed active rather than merely configured.
- The same reconciliation repeated 30 days later, because a setup that works once and then drifts is the harder failure to catch.

Carrd · when not to buy
When a Carrd rebuild is not what you need
We would rather say this now than three weeks into an engagement.
- Your Carrd page is a personal or portfolio page with no conversion.
- You spend nothing on ads.
- You are outgrowing Carrd — build properly on the next platform.

Foundation pixel install for your Carrd store. Honest disclosure: this is a starting point only. If you spend $1K+/month on paid media you should be on the 1st-party server-side tier — rather than quote you a recovery percentage, we'll show you how to measure your own gap: compare what the platforms reported against the orders in your backend for the same week. That ratio is the entire argument, and it's yours to check — see trackingconsulting.com/measurement-accuracy-methodology.
