Conversion tracking for photographers booking on Bloom.io
Bloom puts the whole photography sale on one booking link: the client picks a session, picks a time and pays. That is good for the client and awkward for measurement, because the payment, the only number that matters, happens on Bloom's page rather than yours. Bloom documents no analytics or pixel support that we could confirm, so every claim about tracking it has to start with a test booking.

Bloom.io · what breaks
How photography bookings go missing on Bloom.io
- 01
Instagram traffic lands on Bloom's page, not yours
Many photographers run ads straight to the booking link. Your site's tags never load, so there is nothing to fire.
- 02
Mini-session drops sell out in hours
A short, intense booking window produces a burst of sales that the ad platforms may record as a handful, which skews the next drop's budget.
- 03
A retainer and a full package look the same
If clients pay a deposit at booking and the balance later, the conversion value can be a fraction of what the session is worth.
- 04
Past clients rebooking family sessions
Repeat clients who book from your newsletter get credited to whichever ad they saw last.
Bloom.io · the fix
What a working setup gives a photographer — Bloom.io
Sessions counted when they are paid for
Not when someone opens the booking link and looks at dates.
Package value attached to every booking
So a premium shoot and a mini session teach the ad platforms different things.
A clear answer on what Bloom can carry
Tested on your own account, written down, with the workaround for whatever it cannot.
Bloom.io · architecture
What Bloom.io actually lets you do
Bloom's tracking features are unverified. These are the checks to run on your own account before anything is built.
- 1
Check whether the booking page accepts a Meta Pixel or GA4 ID
If there is a field for it, test which events it sends; if not, nothing fires on Bloom's page at all.
- 2
Check whether the booking link can carry URL parameters
Whether UTM or click IDs survive onto the booking record decides how the click can be matched later.
- 3
Check whether a client can be sent to your own thank-you page
A redirect after payment would put a confirmed booking back on your domain, where your own tags run.
- 4
Check what notifications or integrations fire on a paid booking
An email, a webhook or an automation tool connection is the raw material for a server-side conversion.
- 5
Confirm how deposits and balances are recorded
The value you send should match what the client actually paid at booking.
Bloom.io · diagnose
Where Bloom.io tracking breaks, in diagnostic order
Photographers usually find the problem in the first two checks. The rest stop it coming back.
- 01
Make one paid booking from an ad click
Then look in Events Manager. If nothing arrived, the page is not tracked and every number since was modelled.
- 02
Check where your ads actually point
Ads sent straight to the Bloom link skip your site and any tags on it.
- 03
Compare the last drop's sales with reported purchases
Session by session, not as a total. Drops show undercounting more clearly than any other week.
- 04
Look at the value on reported conversions
A flat or missing value means package prices are not reaching the platforms.
- 05
Separate rebookings from new clients
Past clients booking from email inflate whichever campaign happened to be running.
Bloom.io · prove
Proof on a real Bloom booking
Tested with real payments through your live Bloom link, not a preview.
Source of truth
Bloom's booking and payment records, sessions paid by date with the package booked
- A paid test session booked from an ad click and found in the ad platform with the correct value.
- A deposit booking confirmed to send the deposit amount, flagged as partial.
- A mini-session and a full session confirmed to arrive as different values.
- A rebooking from a past client confirmed excluded from acquisition.
- A refunded booking confirmed reversed.
- Every paid session in a closed window matched one to one.
- Checked again after the next mini-session drop.

Bloom.io · when not to buy
When you don't need this on Bloom.io
For a lot of photographers, the honest answer is not yet.
- If most of your work comes from referrals, venues and word of mouth, ad tracking will be measuring a small minority of bookings.
- If you spend a few hundred dollars a month promoting a mini-session drop, count the sales by hand against the ad dates; that is enough.
- If you book weddings by consultation call and contract, the booking link is not where the sale happens, so track the inquiry instead.
- If Bloom turns out to accept a pixel and your test booking reports correctly, a smaller fix may be all you need, and we will tell you.

FAQ
Bloom.io questions, answered
We could not confirm that from Bloom's documentation, so check your account settings and then run a test booking. If no pixel option exists, the conversion has to come from somewhere other than the booking page.
For tracking, usually yes. Your website's tags never load, so the ad platform sees a click and nothing after it unless Bloom itself reports the booking.
Most often because the booking page is not reporting purchases, so Meta is modelling. A drop is the best time to measure the gap because the sales are concentrated.
Send what was paid at booking and flag it as a deposit. If the full package price matters for bidding, it can be sent as a separate value once the balance is paid.
No. The server-side part runs on your own subdomain, not on Bloom's page, so the client's booking experience is unchanged.
